For each question you will be awarded on mark if you have darkened only one bubble corresponding to the correct answer. In case you have not darkened any bubble, you will be awarded zero mark for that question. There will be negative marking to the extent of half mark for darkening a wrong bubble.

Merit List and Tie Breaking: The category wise merit list of selected candidates shall be based on marks secured in the Written Test. If two more candidates have got same marks in the Written Test, marks obtained by the concerned candidates in the qualifying examination will be considered for judging the merit. In case, the result of qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent ) is the not declared, marks secured in the secondary examination will be considered for breaking the tie.

Centralised Counseling: There will be Centralised Counseling from the prescribed date onwards for on-the-spot allotment of the Institute to candidates, based on their merit, after the result is announced. Candidates called for Centralies Counseling are required to bring with them admit Card, an Attested Copy of the result of 10+2, proof of Age and non-refundable demand draft of Rs. 10,000 in fervor of "National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology" payable at New Delhi' and Caste Certificate/Handicapped Certificate (wherever applicable) for on-the spot admission to the Institute (This amount Rs.10,000 shall be adjustable against the first term fee on admission in the allotted Institute). If required, second round of counseling will also be organised after completion of first round for candidates below the cut-off marks of the first round.

The selected candidates are required to report to the allotted Institute by the prescribed date. Such candidates are required to carry with them all the testimonials as required and balance of the first term fee. For details, see J.E.E. Information Brochure.

Institute once allotted will be final. The Council does not have a policy for inter-institute transfer or migration on any ground during any of the three years of the course. As such, no request for transfer or migration will be entertained.
