CNLU 2010 Eligibility:

The candidate seeking admission to the B.A.LLB (Hons.) Course, should:

Have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) system or an equivalent examination there to securing in the aggregate not less than 50% of the total marks. (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories)

CNLU 2010 Age Limit:

Be less than 20 years of age on First July 2010. However, in cases of reserved category candidates the maximum age limit shall be 22 as on the above date.

CNLU 2010 Admission:

Foreign Nationals and NRI category candidates are exempted from taking the Common Law Admission Test and the rule concerning the age limit.

Candidates who wish to apply under Foreign Nationals Category and NRI category shall submit the duly filled in application form which can be downloaded from our Website: http://www.cnlu.ac.in with all supporting documents along with crossed DD for Rs. 4,000/- in favourof Registrar, Chanakya National Law University, Patna on or before Monday, the 1st June 2010. Selected candidates should complete the admission formalities by paying required fees as shown in the schedule on or before Friday, the 26th June 2010

Total Seats : 80 (Sixty seats on merit through Entrance Test, 20 seats direct admission for foreign nationals on merit. Vacant seats, if any, under this category will be taken to general pool).

CNLU 2010 Reservation: Reservations will be as per the provisions of The Bihar Reservation Act, 2003 which are as follows:

Scheduled Castes-16%, Scheduled Tribes-1%, Extremely Backward Classes-18%, Backward Classes-12%, Women of Backward Classes-3%, Persons with Disabilities - 3%, 30% of the total seats shall be filled by eligibile women candidates including those selected in reserved categories.

CNLU Patna 2010 Eligibility for Post Graduate Program:

To be eligible for admission to the 2-year full time LL.M. Degree Program, a candidate should have passed the LLB. / B.L. degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University not less than 55% marks in the aggregate (50%) in case of SC / ST / OBC.

CNLU Patna 2010 Intake and Reservation

The intake for the course will be a maximum of SIXTY and minimum of FORTY with the following reservation.

Direct CNLU 2010 Admissions: Out of a maximum of 60% seats for LL.M. Course 10 seats will be allotted to Foreign Nationals and 10 seats will be allotted to NRI's NRI sponsored candidates.

These categories of candidates are exempted from taking the Common Law Admission Test. However they shall fulfill other requirements regarding age and qualifications as per CLAT - 2010 and CNLU eligibility Regulations.

Note: Unfilled seats if any, in foreign nationals and NRI / NRI sponsored category will be filled in as per the Bihar Act No.16 of 2003.

Specialization Offered

Each candidate must choose an area of specialization from the following;

• Intellectual Property
• Corporate Law and Governance (including International Business)
• Constitutional Law and Administrative Law
• International Legal Order.

Note: A subject specialization will be offered subject to availability of faculty and sufficient number of students.
