ILI CAT Admission Procedure 2009
Admission to LL.M. shall be made on the merit of the marks obtained by the candidates in the
Common Admission Test (CAT) to be held on June 20, 2009 (Saturday) and performance of the
candidate during Viva-Voce to be conducted by the Institute after CAT.
ILI CAT 2009 Test Pattern
Common Admission Test for admission to LL.M. will be held at Delhi only. The Common Admission Test shall consist of one question paper containing three parts.
| Part-I | will contain 30 Objective Type Questions with Multiple Choices relating to English Language and General Knowledge. |
| Part-II | will contain 60 Objective Type Questions with Multiple Choices from following areas: Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, IPC, Public International Law, Commercial Law (Contract and Specific Relief Act, Partnership and Sale of Goods Act), Law of Torts, Law of Limitation and Family Laws. |
| Part-III | will contain Subjective Type Questions to be answered in not more than 150 words from (i) Jurisprudence, (ii) Constitutional Law, (iii) IPC, (iv) Commercial Laws (Contract, Partnership and Sale of Goods Act) and (v) Family Law. |
| Part-I | 30 Objective | 30 Marks | Each question shall carry one mark. There will be negative marking Type Questions for incorrect answers. One fourth (1/4) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answers. (As per syllabus mentioned above) |

| Part-III | 5 Subjective | 40 Marks | There will be five questions in Part III and each question shall carry 8 Type Questions marks. Subjective Type Questions to be answered in not more than 150 words from (i) Jurisprudence, (ii) Constitutional Law, (iii) IPC, (iv) Commercial Laws (Contract, Partnership and Sales of Goods Act) and (v) Family Law.

Note: The Common Admission Test (CAT) will be of two hours duration; medium of test will be English.
Viva-Voce
Short listed candidates based on the merit of Common Admission Test (CAT) shall be called for viva-voce to be conducted in the Indian Law Institute w.e.f. July 08, 2009 onwards. Details of selected candidates will be notified on the website of the Institute after completion of the vivavoce. Final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the CAT and viva-voce i.e. out of maximum 150 marks.
