NLSIU 2010 Eligibility for B.A.,LL.B. (Hons):
To be eligible for admission, a candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary School / Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/ OBC and persons with disability) in the first attempt and shouldbe below 20 years of age as on 1st July 2010 (22 years in case of SC/ST and persons with disability).
Candidates appearing or awaiting result of the qualifying examination can also appear in the test on condition that they produce proof of having passed the qualifying exam at the time of formal interviews.
Those who do not clear the qualifying examination with the requisite marks are not eligible for admission. Candidates whose marks statement of the qualifying examination is not available at the time of formal interviews, are not eligible for admission.
The University reserves the right to cancel the admission of any candidate in accordance with rules.
NLSIU 2010 Intake and Reservation for B.A..LL.B. (Hons.) Program
At present, The intake capacity of B.A..LL.B. (Hons.) degree programme shall be 80 with the following break up:

| (c) Scheduled Tribe: | 6 (i.e. 7.5%) |
| (d) Persons With Disability (PWD): | 2 (i.e. 3%) |

Foreign students will be admitted directly on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination, overall academic record and command over English language.
Preference will be given to the candidates from SAARC countries. Foreign students must apply directly in the CLAT application form with supporting documents to the following addresses on or before the closing date.

NLSIU 2010 LL.M Program
NLSIU offers two year LL.M. programme with specialization in Business Laws and Human Rights Laws. This programme is designed essentially to equip students for academic careers. Keeping this objective in mind, the special emphasis is placed upon those subjects which are not normally taught properly at LLB. level in Indian Law colleges.
