Punjab University 2013 Law Eligibility

For BA LLB ( Hons ) :

• Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks ( 45% marks in case of SC / ST / BC ) from any recognized Board / University ( However, the candidates qualification 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for Punjab University admission in the law courses Bar council of India communication No. Le : cir : 02 / 2010 dated 20th December, 2010.

For BCom LLB ( Hons ) :

• Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination in commerce with at least 50% marks ( 45% marks in case of SC / ST / BC ) from any recognized Board / University ( However, the candidates qualification 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for Punjab university admission in the law courses Bar council of India communication No. Le : cir : 02 / 2010 dated 20th December, 2010.
• The candidate must not be above 20 years of age as on 1st November of the year in which admission is sought to the First Semester ( 22 years in case of SC / ST ) and other backward communities )’ Clause 28 of Schedule III of Bar Council of India Rules of Legal Education, 2008.’
• Punjab University admission shall be on the merit of Entrance test and 10 + 2 marks. No candidate shall be eligible for admission to BA / BCom LLB ( Hons. ) Ist Semester unless he / she appears in the entrance test of the relevant year of Punjab university admission. A student who falls short of lectures in the Ist Semester shall be eligible for admission again through the entrance test provided he / she fulfills all other eligibility conditions.

Note : *60 seats out of 180 be reserved for B.Com. LL.B. ( Hons. ) 5 years Integrated course and 120 seats be reserved for B.A.LL.B. ( Hons. ) 5 years Integrated Course subject to the reservation as per Panjab University Rules.

PU 2013 LLB Exam Eligibility

• Those candidates who have passed / appeared in the final year of Bachelor’s degree in any faculty of the Panjab University with at least 45% of the aggregate marks ( 40% for SC / ST / BC candidates ). Or
• A Bachelor’s degree in any faculty of any other University recognized as equivalent to the corresponding degree of the Panjab University with at least 45% of the aggregate marks ( 40% for SC / ST / BC candidates ).
• Provided that in case of candidates having Bachelor’s degree of the Panjab University or any other University recognized by the Syndicate, through Modern Indian Languages ( Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi ) ( Gurumukhi script ) and / or in a Classical Language ( Sanskrit or Persian or Arabic ), the aggregate of 45% marks ( 40% for SC / ST / BC candidates ) shall be calculated by taking into account the percentage of aggregate marks that he / she had secured at the language examination, excluding the marks for the additional optional paper English and the elective subject taken together. Or
• Master’s Degree in any subject from the Panjab University. Or
• A Master’s degree from any other university recognized as equivalent to the corresponding post-graduate degree of the Panjab University.

• PU LLB course fee of 1000 for General Category and 500 for SC / ST Category. ( 50% concession for P. U. regular employees under B&C class Senate dated 14.7.2007 vide para xxxiii )

PU 2013 LLB Admit Card

PU LLB Admit Card required to be downloaded from the Punjab University Website http://pglaw.puchd.ac.in/ on 27th May, 2013 by the candidate using their own Login and Password ( provided while generating Bank Challan ). There will be no physical communication for this
purpose.
