Printed application forms for CLAT-2008 along with the brochure are available at the designated branches of the Corporation Bank and State Bank of India against the payment of Rs. 2,000/- only. How to apply for Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University: Along with the admit Card (Hall Ticket) for CLAT-2008 exam, candidates will receive one OMR application form. Candidates seeking admission in this University will be required to mark their choice for this University in this OMR form and hand it over to the Centre in-Charge of the center concerned on 11th of May, 2008. This University is not selling any separate application form for admission in this University.
Last date for sending the filled in application form of CLAT - 2008 along with the enclosures is 10th of April, 2008.
Eligibility:
The admission shall be based exclusively on the performance in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). However, to qual fy for admission the cand date must passed intermediate (10+2 system) or equivalent examination from a University/recognized board with not less than 50% (for SC/ST of U.P. 45%) marks and is not more than 20 years (22 years incase of SC/ST of U.P.) of age as on 01.07.2008. Students taking qualifying examination in March/April 2008 are also eligible to apply.
Intake and Reservations:
The intake capacity of B.A LL.B. (Hons.) degree program shall be 160 with following breakup:
(a) General Category : 80
(b) OBC of U.P : 43
(c) Scheduled Caste of U.P: 34
(d) Scheduled Tr be of U.P: 03
Horizontal Reservation: to the physically challenged persons shall also be admissible as per U.P. State Govt. rules.
LL.M Program
The University offers two years LL.M. programme. The annual intake is 20 students.
Admission Procedure: Admission shall be made on the basis of the scores of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2008) to be held on
Sunday 11th of May, 2008, as stated above for B.A LL.B (Hons).
A candidate should have secured a LL.B degree or its equivalent from a recognized University, having obtained not less than 50% (45% in case of SC/ST of U.P.) marks in the aggregate. Candidates in the final year of their LL.B. course can also apply but their admission would be confirmed only after they submit LL.B. results with the required 50% marks in aggregate.
The intake capacity of LL.M degree program shall be 20 with following breakup:
(a) General Category : 10
(b) OBC of U.P : 05
(c) Scheduled Caste of U.P: 04
(d) Scheduled Tr be of U.P: 01
