Admission Information Applicants are required to appear for CAT. However an applicant who has already earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) or Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Management (PGDCM) from one of the IIMs with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6.00/9.00 (or equivalent), or a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from IIM Calcutta with CGPA 6.5/9.0 and above need not take CAT and can apply directly using the application form. Candidates, who satisfy the eligibility criteria stated above, and needed to take CAT, will be short listed on the basis of tjheir performance in CAT. Short listed candidates (including those who are not required to take CAT) will be called for Personal Interview at IIM Calcutta campus during March/April 2007.

Eligibility A Master's degree in any subject/discipline or equivalent professional qualification with at least 55% marks; and minimum 50% aggregate marks at the three year Bachelor's degree level.OR
A First Class Bachelor's degree in Engineering. If "Class" is not given by the institute, then 60% marks (or equivalent grade point) will be considered equivalent to first class.
In addition, all applicants must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in either the Secondary or the Higher Secondary Examination of a Board or University. Final year students appearing for the Bachelor?s degree examination in Engineering or Master?s degree examination in any relevant discipline can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be provisionally admitted provided they complete all requirements for obtaining the degree before 30 June 2007. For SC/ST candidates the eligibility conditions may be relaxed.
