The Programme is pitched to provide to the financial system, on a regular basis, a pool of talented youngsters thoroughly trained and fully prepared with analytical skills and perspectives in Banking and finance for directly taking up managerial responsibilities in the financial sector.
As a recognition of PGPBF, major banks like State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India, Bank of Maharastra and EXIM Bank have instituted professorial chairs in IT, Corporate Governance, Risk management, Integrated Treasury Management, HRM and International Banking and Finance Respectively. Merit awards in the form of Gold Medals and Citation have been instituted for encouraging excellence in performance.

One Year full-time Programme for Careers in Banking and Financial Services Industry
Eligibility for Admission: A three-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks of equivalent CGPA in any discipline. Students completing their degree examination by June 2007 may also apply. Refer to our website for complete details regarding qualifying criteria of universities from where the candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree and for other important information about eligibility.
Admission Procedure: All candidates seeking admission to the above programme should appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) to Be Conducted By II Ms on 19 November 2006. The candidates should follow the CAT advertisement of II Ms in leading newspapers on July 16, 2006, for procurement of CAT 2006 Bulletin. Closing date for sale of CAT Bulletins through designated branches of bank(s) is August 17, 2006 and through II Ms have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the Programme.
Apply to NIBM: by filling a separate application form, furnishing CAT Reg. No and Centre No. Candidates short-listed on the basis of CAT scores will be called for a Group Discussion and Interview for final selection during April 2007. The Programme is fully residential.
