The MCA 2009 Application Material may be obtained in person from the Accounts Office at Mesra or from any of our Extension Centres during working hours on all working days, from 18 March 2009 up to 27 April 2009, on payment by crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 1,200/- in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi. To obtain the MCA 2009 Application Material by post, send a crossed demand draft for Rs. 1,250/- in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi, along with a covering letter and two slips of paper of size 10 x 10 cm with your name and address clearly written in block capitals, and telephone number, to Dean Admissions at Mesra or Director of any of our Extension Centres. Write MCA - 2009 on the envelope. Postal requests must be received by 22 April 2009.

To apply for the programme, and register for the MCA 2009 Online Entrance Test, eligible candidates must EITHER 1) Complete the online application form for MCA 2009 on our website, and send a printout of the completed form with 2 recent colour photographs (one pasted on the form and one attached by clip to the form), along with photocopies of all certificates (see Sec 5), and a crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 1,200/- in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi, to the office of Dean Admissions, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi - 835215 positively by the due date OR 2) Complete the printed application form, provided with the MCA 2009 Application Material, and send the duly completed form with 2 recent colour photographs (one pasted on the form and one attached by clip to the form), along with photocopies of all certificates (see Sec 5), and filled in acknowledgement card, in the envelope provided, to the above address, positively by the due date. Candidates may use the online form / printed form to apply for admission to the MCA programme of the Institute at any 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or all 6 of the following Places for Study - Mesra, Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur and Noida (section 1) Completed applications should be sent by reliable Courier or Speed Post or Registered Post to reach the Office of the Dean Admissions, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi - 835215, latest by the due date, positively. Applications reaching us beyond the deadline may not be processed. Expected Dates of Counselling: Based on the choices given in their forms, the list of candidates for each Centre will be notified on our website and updated regularly. Each Centre will shortlist candidates for counselling on the basis of their performance in the MCA 2009 Online Entrance Test, provided they have applied for that Centre, and fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned in the preceding pages and our advertisement / notification(s) on our website. Counselling schedules for each Centre, based on these scores, will be displayed by 7 June 2009 on the Institute website and Notice Boards at Mesra and concerned Extension Centres only. No separate intimation will be sent to candidates. The counselling process will be held tentatively between 13 to 22 June 2009 at Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mesra and Noida, at the addresses given on the back cover of this booklet. Candidates may appear for counselling at Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mesra or Noida as per their choice indicated in their application form. Option A: Important Dates for Online Applications
