Admssion to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) JECA 2008 WB JECA 2008 Exam Date: 29th June 2008 (Sunday). Admission to MCA Course offered by the different Government / Private Engineering Colleges, Universities and Institutions of the State of West Bengal during the academic session 2008-09 is open to candidates who are Indian citizens and who have either passed or are appearing in the Bachelor's degree final examination in any discipline from any recognized university with Mathematics and / or Statistics as one of the Subjects in 10+2+3 pattern subject to the condition that they have to appear and qualify in the Written Test to be conducted by the "West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board." This admission to MCA course will be governed by the reservation policy of the State Government. There is no restriction regarding age of the candidates. |

WB JECA 2008 Scheme of Examination: The Board will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination called JECA-2008 as per following program:
Application: Candidates intending to appear in the Joint Entrance Examination JECA-2008, shall have to apply in the prescribed form which will be available along with information sheet from 16.04.2008 to 06.05.2008 from the under mentioned Branches of United Bank of India at KOLKATA & HOWRAH : College Street, Jadavpur, Shyambazar, Salt Lake (Mayuk Bhavan), B.E.College Extension Counter and Outside Kolkata - Bardhaman, Berhampur, Bolpur, Chinsurah, Durgapur, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalyani, Kharagpur, Malda, Purulia, Siliguri, Tamluk on all working days and on Saturdays (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) (except Holidays and Sundays) on payment of Rs.400.00 in CASH.. The Application form once purchased cannot be returned or replaced. The Application form and information sheet may also be obtained from the Office of the BOARD through Postal request only by sending self-addressed stamped (Rs.45/- for Registered Post) envelope (26cm x 13 cm) along with a Demand Draft of Rs.400/- (Rupees Four hundred) only payable to "West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board" payable at Kolkata / Howrah and should reach the Office of the Board, on or before 22.04.2008 at, AQ-13/1, Sector - V, The Office of the Joint Entrance Examinations Board, No Caste Certificate, Marks sheet and other relevant papers are required to be submitted alongwith the Form. The documents will have to be produced at the time of admission. Enrolment: After receipt of duly filled-in prescribed application form by the Board, an Admit Card will be sent to each applicant informing his/her Examination Centre of the Joint Entrance Examination and the Enrolment Number. In case the applicant does not receive the Admit Card by 24.06.2008, he/she should contact personally with this Board Office along with relevant documents of submission of application form with the attested copy of photograph for procurement of Duplicate Admit Card from 25.06.2008 to 27.06.2008 between 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. It should be note that in case of loss of original Admit Card after the said Admission Test, Duplicate Admit Card may be issued on payment of Rs.25/- (twenty five) only by CASH. The candidate must submit an application addressed to the Member Secretary of the Board to this effect with the oricanal copy of F.I.R. lodged at the Local Police Station and a colouR passport-size photograph (without attestation).
