The School offers programs of instruction and research leading to degree of MCA, M.Tech.(M.Phil.) and Ph.D. It attracts best of the students from all over the country. Every year around ten thousand students including applicants from the neighbouring SAARC countries, appear for the MCA and M.Tech. entrance examination.

Master of Computer applications (MCA) three-year programme is designed to provide necessary theoretical background and practical experience in Computer Science and Applications to meet the growing manpower requirements in automatic computing.

Scholarships: Scholarships of the value of Rs.600/- per month will be awarded during the fifth and sixth semesters to those students of MCA programme who have met the prescribed grades/courses requirements.

Eligibility for JNU MCA Admission 2008:

Bachelor's degree in any discipline with adequate competence in Mathematics under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 55% marks.

JNU MCA 2008 Entrance Exam Syllabus: The questions in the entrance examination for admission to the MCA programme may cover the following areas of study as well as their applications:

How to apply for JNU MCA Entrance Exam 2008:

Sets of Application Form and Prospectus can be had

(i) either personally from the Counter in the Administrative Block of the University on cash payment of Rs. 120/- per set from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. on all working days (Monday to Friday); or

(ii) through post by sending crossed Bank Draft (valid for six months i.e. upto 15.07.08) for Rs. 200/- in favour of Jawaharlal Nehru University payable at New Delhi alongwith a self-addressed (unstamped) envelope of the minimum size of 30 cms X 25 cms. clearly indicating the Category 'A' for which the Application Form is required on the self-addressed envelope to,

Candidates seeking Application Form and Prospectus from Nepal are required to send a bank draft of Indian Rs.300/- or equivalent in US Dollars. Money Orders and Cheques are not accepted.
