Syllabus for AIPVT 2008 Examination:

The general standard of the All India Pre-Veterinary Test will be that of Xlth and Xllth class under the 10+2 Scheme/Pre-Medical/Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination of an Indian University/ State Board/CBSE. No separate syllabus for the examination is prescribed by the Council.

AIPVT 2008 Examination City Codes

The Examination will be held at the cities listed below, provided there are sufficient number of candidates for each centre. Candidates should, therfore, give their choices for two centers, in order of preference in their Application Form.

Candidates must note that the Centre of Examination once opted by a candidate shall not be changed and any request for such a change will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Duration and Scheme of Examination

The All India Pre-Veterinary Test shall be of 3 hours duration and will have one paper consisting of 200 objective type (multiple choice and reason-assertion type) questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The details of distribution of questions are as follows:

AIPVT 2008 Selection Procedure

A list of successful candidates in order of merit based on the score obtained in the entrance examination shall be prepared. The Merit List shall be equal to the number of seats available for allotment in B.V.Sc. & A.H. course under 15% quota. There shall also be a Waiting List of candidates equal to 125% of candidates in the Merit List.

In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the entrance examination, the inter-se-merit of such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as follows:-

(a) Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology in the entrance examination.
(b) Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the entrance examination.
(c) Candidates obtaining higher marks in Physics in the entrance examination.
(d) Candidates older in age to be preferred.
