Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot conducts Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test – PPMET 2018 for seeking admission to BSc Nursing Course in the in the various Nursing colleges of Punjab affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences for the academic session 2018 – 2019.

BFUHS BSc Nursing 2018 Eligibility

The candidate should be a bonafide resident of Punjab. The resident status of Punjab state shall be taken in terms of Punjab Government, Department of Personnel and Administrative reforms ( PP_ll Branch ) letter No. 1/3/95-3 PP 11/9619, dated 6th June, 1996, ID No. 1/2/96-3PP-2/8976, dated 7th July, 1998 and ID No. 1/3/95-3PP/II/81, dated 1st January, 1999 and any further instructions issued by the Department of Personnel, if any, and the same shall be adhered to. Candidate must have passed 10+1 and 10+2 examination from Punjab. Candidate who passed his / her 10+1 and 10+2 examinations or other equivalent examination from a recognized School / Institution situated in Chandigarh ( Union Territory ), who is bonafide resident of Punjab shall also be eligible.

The following categories shall be exempted from this condition :

  • Children / wards / dependents ( whose parents are not alive ) of all those Punjab Government employees, members of All India Services borne on Punjab cadre, Serving Judges and the employees of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, employees of Boards / Corporations / Statutory Bodies established by an Act of the State of Punjab who have been holding post outside Punjab on or before 1st January of the year of entrance test that and their children / wards / dependants were compelled to do 10+1 or 10+2 outside Punjab.

  • Children / wards / dependents ( whose parents are not alive ) of all those Central Government employees, employees of Boards / Corporations / Statutory Bodies of the Central Government who have remained posted inside Punjab for at least two years out of the three years preceding the year of PPMET and corresponding years but were posted outside Punjab for some time during these three years due to which their children / wards / dependants were compelled to do 10+1 or 10+2 or equivalent qualifying examination outside Punjab. However, those who remained posted in Punjab continuously for these three years shall not be entitled to be exempted as they are equally placed with other Punjab Government employees posted in Punjab.

Children / wards / dependents ( whose parents are not alive ) of all those Punjab Government pensioners who have retired on or before 1st January of the year of entrance test that is on or before 1st January, 2016 and corresponding years have settled outside Punjab on or before 1st January of the year of entrance test and their children / wards / dependants were compelled to do 10+1 and / or 10+2 outside Punjab.

Children / wards / dependents ( whose parents are not alive ) of those military / para military forces personnel who were born in the territory of Punjab as per their service record at the time of entry into service.

Children / wards / dependents ( whose parents are not alive ) of those Ex- employees of military / para military forces who were born in the territory of Punjab as per their service record at the time of entry into the service and have retired on or after 1st January of the year preceding two years of the year of entrance test for the admission.

Candidates who are competing for the minority quota in the minority institutions respectively.

Candidates seeking admission under Foreign Indian Student ( NRI ) category.

Candidates under J & K migrants category. Wards of defence personnel posted in Punjab.

Candidates who are repeaters in categories (i) to (v) the year of entrance for the purpose of all these clauses shall be taken as the year of passing 10+2 examination by the candidates.

The dependency certificate in case of those whose parents are not alive shall have also to be taken from the Deputy Commissioner of the District where the candidate resides.

Result not declared – A candidate who has appeared for qualifying examination in the annual batch, but whose result has not been declared may be provisionally permitted to appear in PPMET. The candidate of the corresponding year will be required to produce the evidence of the result having been declared and he / she having passed the examination fulfilling the eligibility conditions by the time of first counseling.

Age : Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years, on or before 31st December of the corresponding year.

In case candidate has also taken up Mathematics along with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English then the marks obtained in Mathematics shall not be considered for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Course.

Candidate should have passed in the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks ( for SC / ST 40% ) taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination i.e ( 10+2 ). ( The eligibility is as per INC letter No. 1 -6/2015-INC dated 21.09.2015 ).

50% of the total seats in private institutions shall constitute the Management Quota including 15% of the total seats for Foreign Indian Students ( NRI candidates ).

BFUHS BSc Nursing 2018 Exam Pattern

The Test shall have one paper consisting of questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology ( Botany and Zoology ). The duration of test will be three hours from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. which includes the time consumed in signatures, thumb impressions, photography and other security measures There will be 200 Multiple Choice Questions ( 50 each of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology ).

Each question will carry four marks, thus total marks will be 800. The questions will be in English. The candidate will be required to find out the correct answer and mark it on the Optical Mark Reader ( OMR ) Response Sheet by darkening the corresponding oval against the serial number of the question with Black fine tip ball pen only provided by the university at the time of test.

Explanation

The following points shall be observed while granting above reservation both in government and in private colleges :

  • The candidate under category A (iv) and B (iii), under handicap category shall be admitted only if he / she has locomotory disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% and with this disability he / she is otherwise found fit medically to pursue the concerned course by the Medical Board duly constituted by the Government and consisting of Heads of the respective Departments of three Government Medical Colleges at Patiala, Amritsar and Faridkot.
  • For the claim of reservation in category (viii) above a certificate to this effect issued by Inspector General Police ( HQ ), Punjab shall have to be produced while submitting other documents. In case of Paramilitary Forces, this certificate shall be countersigned by IG Police (HQ) Punjab.
  • The above reservation will be made in each Course / college separately subject to the availability of seats as per instructions issued by the Government of Punjab from time to time. The reservation in each institution shall not exceed 25 % in case of SC and 30% in case of SC and BC combined together.
  • Candidate belonging to reserve category will be eligible for admission as per their combined merit in PPMET 2008 and corresponding years in General category also, if they opt for the same. There shall be no reservation in the Minority Quota in the private Institute.
  • General category counselling shall be held on the first day. The reserved category candidate selected shall have the right to be selected in the General category as per his / her merit. The reserve category candidate selected in the general category shall not be counted towards reserve category.
  • Seats remaining vacant under any of the reserve category shall be merged with the general category seats.

Foreign Indian Students NRI Seats

Seats – 15% seats in all private Institutes and specified number of seats in Government / University Institutes shall be earmarked for the Foreign Indian Students ( NRI ). The Foreign Indian Student ( NRI ) quota in private institutes will be part of the management quota.

The candidates for Foreign Indian Student ( NRI ) seats in these institutions will be admitted on merit determined on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination equivalent to 10+2 examination of P.S.E.B. / C.B.S.E. / I.C.S.E in physics, chemistry, biology and English ( PCBE ) taken together. The equivalence, merit and eligibility of the candidates will be determined by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, who will issue an eligibility certificate to such candidates. They are not required to take the entrance test. Candidate must have passed 12 years schooling from recognized Board or University with Science ( Physics, Chemistry and Biology ) and English with minimum of 45% aggregate marks ( PCBE ). For admission to Private/ State/ University institutes of Nursing, against Foreign Indian Student ( N.R.I. ) seats the candidate shall apply to concerned institutions on the prescribed form for Foreign Indian Student ( N.R.I. ) seats as per provision of The Punjab Private Health Sciences Educational Institutional ( Regulation of admission, Fixation of Fee and making of reservation ) Act 2006 as amended from time to time.

15% seats in all Private Institutes and 7.5% of seats in Government / University Institutes shall be earmarked for the Non-Resident Indians in the following order :

  • Category I : NRI / Children of NRI who originally belong to the State of Punjab.
  • Category II : NRI / Children of NRI who originally belong to an Indian State other than Punjab.

Under this policy Non Resident Indian means a person of Indian origin, whether holding an Indian Passport or Foreign Passport, who is either permanently or temporarily settled outside India and in either case :

  • for or on taking up employment outside India ; or
  • for carrying on a business or vocation outside India; or
  • for any other purpose, in such circumstances, as would indicate his intention to stay outside India for an uncertain period;

For ascertaining the eligibility relevant documents including Foreign Country Passport or Green Card or Permanent Resident Card or Proof of Residency of Foreign country issued by competent authority or OCI / PIO Card issued by the Government of India shall be taken into consideration. The eligibility of the candidates shall be determined by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, who shall issue an eligibility certificate to each such candidate.

The fee notified for NRI category shall be applicable to NRI candidates getting admission to Govt. Nursing Colleges also. Fee for NRI candidates shall not be reduced in any case.

The NRI students shall have to give a bank guarantee / surety bond for the balance of fee, if they opt to pay the fee in instalments as provided.

The Centralized Counselling of NRI quota seats shall be held before the Counselling for other categories. In case of any seat remaining vacant under NRI quota, during / after 2nd Centralized Counselling of NRI quota in State Colleges, it shall go to General category and in the Private Colleges / Minority colleges shall go to General Category of the Management / Minority quota. The NRI left over seats shall be filled by the same Admission Committee from amongst the eligible candidates of PPMET.

Vacant seats under NRI quota will be diverted to General Category candidates.

BFUHS BSc Nursing 2018 Application Form

Candidates can apply for PPMET- 2018 only “Online” mode.

Instructions for Online submission of Application Form are available in the Prospectus and on the University website www.bfuhs.ac.in.

Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in the Prospectus and University website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.

Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future correspondence.

  • At least three printouts of online submitted application form.
  • Proof of fee paid
  • 3 copies of latest identical coloured Photograph with date ( taken after 1st January, 2018 & should be passport size with white background ) that scanned and uploaded on the Online Application form.

Note : Photograph should not have cap or goggles. Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly. POLAROID and COMPUTER generated photos are not acceptable. Applications not complying with these instructions or with unclear photographs are liable to be rejected. Fee can be remitted in the University account through any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce through Bank Challan Form which is generated after online submission of application form. Fee shall not be accepted in any other mode. Candidature will be can celled, who fails to deposit requisite fee.

Fee once deposited in the University account shall not be Refunded / Adjusted in any case.

Notwithstanding the participation of candidates in PPMET 2018, only eligible candidates, as per Government notification/s, shall be considered for admission.

In case of any discrepancy or contradiction between the Government notification/s and the University instructions contained in the prospectus, the letter and the spirit of the notification/s shall be prevailing, however in academic matters the University shall be the final authority.

BFUHS PPMET 2018 Admit Card

The University will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of PPMET 2018, along with a certificate which would be dully signed and attested from either Principal of last attended School / Executive Magistrate.

Candidates are required to download the admit cards from the website and follow the instructions given therein.

Candidate may please note that admit cards will not be sent by post. The admit cards will be available on University website on specified date.

Candidate must not mutilate the Admit Card or change any entry made therein. Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition till admission in Nursing Colleges is over.

Note : Admit card will be issued only to those candidates whose admission fee has been received. Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot conducts Punjab Post Basic Nursing Entrance Test – PPBNET 2017 for seeking admission to BSc Nursing Post Basic Course in the in the various Nursing colleges of Punjab affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences for the session 2017.

BFUHS 2017 Post Basic BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria

i. Candidate should have obtained certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery from an institution recognized by the Punjab Nursing Registration Council, Indian Nursing Council and situated in the state of Punjab. ( The Clause of Institute situated in state of Punjab is exempted for those exempted under clause 3.4, 2.7 and NRI Quota )

ii. Candidate should be registered as Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife ( RNRM ) with the Punjab Nursing Registration Council, the candidate shall have passed the Higher Secondary of Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of new integrated course besides being registered as trained nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of having been trained in any one of the following requisite training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of Midwifery, O.T. Technique Ophthalmic Nursing. Leprosy Training, T.B. Training, Psychiatric Nursing. Neurological & Neuro Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Orthopaedics Nursing.

iii. BFUHS 2017 BSc Nursing Age Limit : The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the corresponding year.

iv. The candidate should be bonafide resident of Punjab. The Resident status of the Punjab State will be taken in terms of Punjab Government, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms ( PP II Branch ) letter No. 1/3/95-3 PP-II/9619 dated 6th June, 1996, ID No.1/2/96-3PP-2/8976, dated 7th July, 1998 and ID No. 1/3/95-3PP II/81 dated 1st January, 1999 and further instructions issued by the Department except as contained in clause 2.1 and 2.2 ibid.

BFUHS 2017 Post Basic BSc Nursing Exam Pattern

1. Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot shall conduct Entrance test for admission to BSc Nursing Post Basic Course.

2. The BFUHS Question Paper PPBNET 2017 ( BSc Nursing Post Basic ) will be of 3.00 hours duration consisting 200 Multiple Choice Questions ( MCQs ) carrying 800 marks.

3. The BSc Nursing Syllabus for the course shall be the syllabus of GNM Course prescribed by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.

4. The test shall be conducted, in the centres to be given in the Admit cards.

5. There shall be No Negative Marking. However the candidates who do not darken the fifth oval in case of unattempted questions introduced for security shall be getting deduction of marks at the rate of one mark per question left in which all the five ovals have been left blank.

6. The candidate will have to write his question booklet number and OMR response sheet number on the roll number counter slip as well as on the attendance sheet. The OMR response sheet number should be written on question booklet and question booklet number on the OMR response sheet.

7. The female candidates shall affix RTI ( Right Thumb Impression ) in case of male LTI ( Left Thumb Impression ) on the attendance sheets, roll number counter slip as well as on the OMR response sheet.

8. Candidate shall fill the ovals of OMR response sheet with black fine tip ball pen only.

9. The candidate shall do signature on OMR response sheet, roll number counter slip sheet, attendance sheet and on question booklet.

10. Candidates shall not be allowed to leave the examination hall till the completion of the time of the test.

BFUHS 2017 Post Basic BSc Nursing Online Application Form

1. Only one BFUHS BSc Nursing 2017 Application is to be submitted by a candidate. Submitting more than one application by a candidate is liable to be rejected.

2. Before applying, candidate should have to deposit requisite fee in the University account through any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce by using specified Bank Challan 9 Form, which is available at university website i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in.

3. BFUHS 2015 BSc Nursing Exam Fee Rupee 500/- ( in the form of DD in favour of “Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot” payable at Faridkot ) for correction after locking the online application form.

4. After depositing requisite fee in the bank account of the University, a unique Transaction ID will be issued by the concerned bank, which is required to be entered in the application form. Fee shall not be accepted in any other mode i.e. cash, Cheque, Demand Draft etc.

5. Fee for General Category is Rupee 3000/- and for SC / ST category Rupee 1500/- and it should be deposited by 28th August, 2017.

6. After depositing the fee, the candidate must fill BFUHS BSc Nursing Online Application Form which is available on the University website www.bfuhs.ac.in by clicking at the link “PPBNET 2017 for Admission to BSc Nursing Post Basic Course 2017”.

7. Last date for submission of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences 2017 BSc Nursing Online Application Form is on or before 28th August, 2017.

BFUHS 2017 PB BSc Nursing Application Fee

BFUHS BSc Nursing 2017 Application Fee Rupee 3000/- for General Category ( Rupee 1500/- for SC categories only ) be deposited in any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce throughout India by using Bank Challan form available on BFUHS University website i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in by due date and time i.e. 28th August, 2017.

BFUHS 2017 Post Basic BSc Nursing Admission Procedure

1. The selection shall be strictly as per merit based upon the entrance examination.

2. Candidate should have secured at least 35% ( 30% for SC / BC ) in the BFUHS Nursing 2015 Entrance Test. Counseling shall be compulsory and the centralised counseling shall be conducted by the committee consisting of the members as per BFUHS Nursing Notification.

3. Equal Marks : In case of candidates securing equal marks their inter-se-merit will be determined as under :

  1. Firstly the candidate having higher percentage of aggregate marks calculated upto 3 decimal points.
  2. Candidate having higher percentage of aggregate marks calculated up to 3 decimal points in final year GNM.
  3. Then the candidate, older in age.

1. BFUHS 2017 Post Basic BSc Nursing Institutions and Seats

1.1 Government Colleges including University College of Nursing : For candidates who have passed qualifying examination from the recognized institutions situated in the State of Punjab is 92.5% of the total seats. or Foreign Indian Student ( NRI ) Quota is 7.5% of the total seats.

1.2 Private Colleges

A. Government Quota Seats ( 50% of the total ) : For candidates who have passed qualifying examination from the recognized institutions situated in the State of Punjab is 50% of the total seats.

B. Management Quota ( 50% of the total ) : For candidates who have passed qualifying examination from the recognized institutions situated in the State of Punjab is 35 % of the total seats. For Foreign Indian Student ( NRI ) Quota with 15% of the total seats.

C. Explanation : The following points shall be observed while granting above reservation both in Government and in private colleges :

i) The candidate under category A (iv) and B (iii), under handicap category shall be admitted only if he / she has locomotory disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% and with this disability she/he is otherwise found fit medically to pursue the concerned course by the Medical Board duly constituted by the Government and consisting of Heads of the respective Departments of three Government Medical Colleges at Patiala, Amritsar and Faridkot.

ii) For the claim of reservation in category (viii) above a certificate to this effect issued by Inspector General Police ( HQ ), Punjab shall have to be produced while submitting other documents. In case of Paramilitary Forces, this certificate shall be countersigned by IG Police ( HQ ) Punjab.

iii) The above reservation will be made in each Course / college separately subject to the availability of seats as per instructions issued by the Government of Punjab from time to time. The reservation in each institution shall not exceed 25% in case of SC and 30% in case of SC and BC combined together

iv) General category counselling shall be held on the first day. The reserved category candidate selected shall have the right to be selected in the General category as per her/his merit. The reserve category candidate selected in the general category shall not be counted towards reserve category.

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot conducts Punjab Master of Sciences Nursing Entrance Test – PMNET 2017 for seeking admission to MSc Nursing Course in the in the various Nursing colleges of Punjab affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences for the session 2015.

BFUHS 2017 MSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidate should have obtained certificate in BSc ( Nursing ) / BSc ( Post Basic Nursing ) from an institution recognized by the Punjab Nursing Registration Council, Indian Nursing Council and situated in the state of Punjab. ( The Clause of Institute situated in state of Punjab is exempted for those exempted under clause 3.4, 2.7 and NRI Qouta )

2. The candidate should have passed BSc Nursing / BSc Post Basic Nursing with minimum 55% marks from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot or equivalent examination with requisite percentage of marks as prescribed above in this para, recognized by Indian Nursing Council, from a recognized University.

3. In case candidate passed qualifying examination from IGNOU, New Delhi, study centre must be recognized by the Indian Nursing Council ( INC ), New Delhi. Should have atleast one year of work experience at the time of joining of the course in Bed Side Nursing or Public Health Nursing or Nursing Educational Institute recognized by Indian Nursing Council ( INC ) after Basic BSc Nursing or before / after Post Basic BSc Nursing.

4. The candidate should be bonafide resident of Punjab. The Resident status of the Punjab State will be taken in terms of Punjab Government, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms ( PP II Branch ) letter No. 1/3/95-3 PP-II/9619 dated 6th June, 1996, ID No.1/2/96-3PP-2/8976, dated 7th July, 1998 and ID No. letter No.1/3/95-3PP II/81 dated 1st January 1999 and further instructions issued by the Department except as contained in clause 2.1 and 2.2 ibid.

Note : In the first instance admission to the institutions having permission of affiliation from all the Statutory bodies, i.e., Punjab Nurses Registration Council ( PNRC ) / Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot ( BFUHS ) and Indian Nursing Council ( INC ), shall be finalized purely on merit and in transparent manner. The institutions which secure these permissions up to 30th September of the corresponding year, shall also be considered.

BFUHS 2017 MSc Nursing Exam Pattern

i. Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot shall conduct Entrance test for admission to MSc Nursing Courses.

ii. The BFUHS Question Paper PMNET 2017 MSc Nursing will be of 3.00 hours duration consisting 200 Multiple Choice Questions ( MCQs ) carrying 800 marks.

  • Subjects : Nursing – No. of questions : 180 – Marks : 720
  • Subject : General Knowledge / Trends in Nursing – No. of questions : 20 – Marks : 80
  • BFUHS 2017 MSc Nursing Total Marks : 800

iii. The syllabus for the course shall be the syllabus of BSc ( Nursing ) / Post Basic BSc ( Nursing ) Course prescribed by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.

iv. The BFUHS 2017 MSc Nursing Entrance Exam shall be conducted in the centers to be given in the Admit Card.

v. There shall be No Negative Marking. However the candidates who do not darken the fifth oval in case of unattempted questions introduced for security shall be getting deduction of marks at the rate of one mark per question left in which all the five ovals have been left blank.

vi. The candidate will have to write his question booklet number and OMR response sheet number on the roll number counter slip as well as on the attendance sheet. The OMR response sheet number should be written on question booklet and question booklet number on the OMR response sheet.

vii. The female candidates shall affix RTI ( Right Thumb Impression ) in case of male LTI ( Left Thumb Impression ) on the attendance sheets, roll number counter slip as well as on the OMR response sheet.

viii. Candidate shall fill the ovals of OMR response sheet with black fine tip ball pen only. The candidate shall do signature on OMR response sheet, roll number counter slip sheet,
attendance sheet and on question booklet.

ix. Candidates shall not be allowed to leave the examination hall till the completion of the time of the BFUHS 2017 Entrance Test.

BFUHS 2017 MSc Nursing Online Application Form

1. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Submitting more than one Baba Farid University of Health Sciences MSc Nursing Application by a candidate is liable to be rejected.

2.After online applying, candidate should have to deposit requisite fee in the University account through any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce by using specified Bank Challan Form, which is available at university website i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in.

3. After depositing requisite fee in the bank account of the University, a unique Transaction ID will be issued by the concerned bank, which is required to be entered in the application form. Fee shall not be accepted in any other mode i.e. Cash, Cheque, Demand Draft etc.

4. Fee for General Category is Rupee 5000/- and for SC category Rupee 2500/- and it should be deposited by Specified date.

5. After depositing the fee, the candidate must fill online admission application form which is available on the University website : www.bfuhs.ac.in by clicking at the link “PMNET 2017 for Admission to M.Sc. Nursing Courses 2017”.

6. An error in filling of BFHUS MSc Nursing 2017 Online Admission Application Form may result in rejection of such an Application Form. Corrections in the information given by the candidate in the Online Application Form is not be permitted afterspecified date.

7. BFUHS 2017 MSc Nursing Fee Rupee 500/- in the form of DD in favour of “Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot payable at Faridkot” for correction after locking the BFUHS Online Application Form.

8. Form therefore applicants are advised to take care while they filled columns of admission application form such as category code, date of birth etc.

BFUHS 2017 MSc Nursing Application Fee

BFUHS MSc Nursing 2017 Application Fee Rupee 5000/- for General Category ( Rupee 2500/- for SC categories only ) be deposited in any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce throughout India by using Bank Challan form available on University web site i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in by due date and time. BFUHS 2017 MSc Nursing Admission Procedure

1. The BFUHS 2017 Selection Process shall be strictly as per merit based upon the entrances examination. Candidate should have secured at least 40% (35% for SC/BC) in the Entrance Test.

2. BFUHS MSc Nursing Counseling shall be compulsory and the centralized counseling shall be conducted by the committee consisting of the members of this notification.

3. Equal Marks : In case of candidates securing equal marks their inter – se – merit will be determined as under :

  • Firstly the candidate having higher percentage of aggregate marks calculated up to 3 decimal points.
  • Candidate having higher percentage of aggregate marks calculated up to 3 decimal points in final year BSc ( Nursing ) / BSc ( Post Basic Nursing ).
  • Then the candidate, older in age.

1. BFUHS 2017 MSc Nursing Institutions and Seats

The details of the institutions and the total seats available in each institution affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot will be given in the prospectus and category wise distribution shall be as per 100 point roster register will be displayed at the venue of counselling at time of counselling.

2.1 Government Colleges including University College of Nursing : For candidates who have passed qualifying examination from the recognized institutions situated in the State of Punjab is 92.5% of the total seats. For Foreign Indian Student ( NRI ) Quota is 7.5% of the total seats.

2.2 Private Colleges

A. Government Quota Seats ( 50% of the total ) : For candidates who have passed qualifying examination from the recognized institutions situated in the State of Punjab is 50% of the total seats.

BFUHS 2015 Post Basic BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria

i. Candidate should have obtained certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery from an institution recognized by the Punjab Nursing Registration Council, Indian Nursing Council and situated in the state of Punjab. ( The Clause of Institute situated in state of Punjab is exempted for those exempted under clause 3.4, 2.7 and NRI Quota )

ii. Candidate should be registered as Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife ( RNRM ) with the Punjab Nursing Registration Council, the candidate shall have passed the Higher Secondary of Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of new integrated course besides being registered as trained nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of having been trained in any one of the following requisite training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of Midwifery, O.T. Technique Ophthalmic Nursing. Leprosy Training, T.B. Training, Psychiatric Nursing. Neurological & Neuro Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Orthopaedics Nursing.

iii. BFUHS 2015 BSc Nursing Age Limit : The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the corresponding year.

BFUHS BSc Nursing 2015 Application Fee Rupee 4200/- for General Category ( Rupee 2100/- for SC categories only ) be deposited in any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce throughout India by using Bank Challan form available on BFUHS University website i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in by due date and time i.e.September, 2015.

BFUHS 2015 Post Basic BSc Nursing Admission Procedure

1. The selection shall be strictly as per merit based upon the entrance examination.

2. Candidate should have secured at least 35% ( 30% for SC / BC ) in the BFUHS Nursing 2015 Entrance Test. Counseling shall be compulsory and the centralised counseling shall be conducted by the committee consisting of the members as per BFUHS Nursing Notification.

3. Equal Marks : In case of candidates securing equal marks their inter-se-merit will be determined as under :

  1. Firstly the candidate having higher percentage of aggregate marks calculated upto 3 decimal points.
  2. Candidate having higher percentage of aggregate marks calculated up to 3 decimal points in final year GNM.
  3. Then the candidate, older in age.

1. BFUHS 2015 Post Basic BSc Nursing Institutions and Seats

1.1 Government Colleges including University College of Nursing : For candidates who have passed qualifying examination from the recognized institutions situated in the State of Punjab is 92.5% of the total seats. or Foreign Indian Student ( NRI ) Quota is 7.5% of the total seats.

1.2 Private Colleges

A. Government Quota Seats ( 50% of the total ) : For candidates who have passed qualifying examination from the recognized institutions situated in the State of Punjab is 50% of the total seats.

B. Management Quota ( 50% of the total ) : For candidates who have passed qualifying examination from the recognized institutions situated in the State of Punjab is 35 % of the total seats. For Foreign Indian Student ( NRI ) Quota with 15% of the total seats.

C. Explanation : The following points shall be observed while granting above reservation both in Government and in private colleges :

i) The candidate under category A (iv) and B (iii), under handicap category shall be admitted only if he / she has locomotory disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% and with this disability she/he is otherwise found fit medically to pursue the concerned course by the Medical Board duly constituted by the Government and consisting of Heads of the respective Departments of three Government Medical Colleges at Patiala, Amritsar and Faridkot.

ii) For the claim of reservation in category (viii) above a certificate to this effect issued by Inspector General Police ( HQ ), Punjab shall have to be produced while submitting other documents. In case of Paramilitary Forces, this certificate shall be countersigned by IG Police ( HQ ) Punjab.

iii) The above reservation will be made in each Course / college separately subject to the availability of seats as per instructions issued by the Government of Punjab from time to time. The reservation in each institution shall not exceed 25% in case of SC and 30% in case of SC and BC combined together

iv) General category counselling shall be held on the first day. The reserved category candidate selected shall have the right to be selected in the General category as per her/his merit. The reserve category candidate selected in the general category shall not be counted towards reserve category.

v) Seats remaining vacant under any of the reserve category shall be merged with the general category seats.
