BFUHS BSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2021
Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot conducts Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test – PPMET 2021 for seeking admission to BSc Nursing Course in the in the various Nursing colleges of Punjab affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences for the academic session 2021 – 2022.
BFUHS BSc Nursing 2021 Eligibility
The candidate should be a bonafide resident of Punjab. The resident status of Punjab state shall be taken in terms of Punjab Government, Department of Personnel and Administrative reforms ( PP_ll Branch ) letter No. 1/3/95-3 PP 11/9619, dated 6th June, 1996, ID No. 1/2/96-3PP-2/8976, dated 7th July, 1998 and ID No. 1/3/95-3PP/II/81, dated 1st January, 1999 and any further instructions issued by the Department of Personnel, if any, and the same shall be adhered to. Candidate must have passed 10+1 and 10+2 examination from Punjab. Candidate who passed his / her 10+1 and 10+2 examinations or other equivalent examination from a recognized School / Institution situated in Chandigarh ( Union Territory ), who is bonafide resident of Punjab shall also be eligible.
The following categories shall be exempted from this condition :
- Children / wards / dependents ( whose parents are not alive ) of all those Punjab Government employees, members of All India Services borne on Punjab cadre, Serving Judges and the employees of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, employees of Boards / Corporations / Statutory Bodies established by an Act of the State of Punjab who have been holding post outside Punjab on or before 1st January of the year of entrance test that and their children / wards / dependants were compelled to do 10+1 or 10+2 outside Punjab.
- Children / wards / dependents ( whose parents are not alive ) of all those Central Government employees, employees of Boards / Corporations / Statutory Bodies of the Central Government who have remained posted inside Punjab for at least two years out of the three years preceding the year of PPMET and corresponding years but were posted outside Punjab for some time during these three years due to which their children / wards / dependants were compelled to do 10+1 or 10+2 or equivalent qualifying examination outside Punjab. However, those who remained posted in Punjab continuously for these three years shall not be entitled to be exempted as they are equally placed with other Punjab Government employees posted in Punjab.
Children / wards / dependents ( whose parents are not alive ) of all those Punjab Government pensioners who have retired on or before 1st January of the year of entrance test that is on or before 1st January, 2016 and corresponding years have settled outside Punjab on or before 1st January of the year of entrance test and their children / wards / dependants were compelled to do 10+1 and / or 10+2 outside Punjab.
Children / wards / dependents ( whose parents are not alive ) of those military / para military forces personnel who were born in the territory of Punjab as per their service record at the time of entry into service.
Children / wards / dependents ( whose parents are not alive ) of those Ex- employees of military / para military forces who were born in the territory of Punjab as per their service record at the time of entry into the service and have retired on or after 1st January of the year preceding two years of the year of entrance test for the admission.
Candidates who are competing for the minority quota in the minority institutions respectively.
Candidates seeking admission under Foreign Indian Student ( NRI ) category.
Candidates under J & K migrants category. Wards of defence personnel posted in Punjab.
Candidates who are repeaters in categories (i) to (v) the year of entrance for the purpose of all these clauses shall be taken as the year of passing 10+2 examination by the candidates.
The dependency certificate in case of those whose parents are not alive shall have also to be taken from the Deputy Commissioner of the District where the candidate resides.
Result not declared – A candidate who has appeared for qualifying examination in the annual batch, but whose result has not been declared may be provisionally permitted to appear in PPMET. The candidate of the corresponding year will be required to produce the evidence of the result having been declared and he / she having passed the examination fulfilling the eligibility conditions by the time of first counseling.
Age : Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years, on or before 31st December of the corresponding year.
In case candidate has also taken up Mathematics along with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English then the marks obtained in Mathematics shall not be considered for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Course.
Candidate should have passed in the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks ( for SC / ST 40% ) taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination i.e ( 10+2 ). ( The eligibility is as per INC letter No. 1 -6/2015-INC dated 21.09.2015 ).
50% of the total seats in private institutions shall constitute the Management Quota including 15% of the total seats for Foreign Indian Students ( NRI candidates ).
BFUHS BSc Nursing 2021 Exam Pattern
The Test shall have one paper consisting of questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology ( Botany and Zoology ). The duration of test will be three hours from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. which includes the time consumed in signatures, thumb impressions, photography and other security measures There will be 200 Multiple Choice Questions ( 50 each of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology ).
Each question will carry four marks, thus total marks will be 800. The questions will be in English. The candidate will be required to find out the correct answer and mark it on the Optical Mark Reader ( OMR ) Response Sheet by darkening the corresponding oval against the serial number of the question with Black fine tip ball pen only provided by the university at the time of test.
