1. There will be a Common Entrance Test for the following:
a. For admission to BAMS Course (50 seats) at four centres – Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Varanasi.
BHU Distribution of Seats:
1. General - 33
2. SC - 8;
3. ST - 4
4. Physically Disabled - 2 & Foreign Nationals - 3.
b. For admission to B. Pharm (Ay) course all the 30 seats are Self Financing and will be run at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha, Mirzapur will be held at all above four centers; Distribution of Seats : General 21; SC 5; ST 3; & PD 1.
Age Limit:
For both the courses candidate should have completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December 2008 (Candidates born after 1st January, 1992 and on or before 31st December 1983 need not apply).
Eligibility for BAMS/BPharm Courses: Intermediate 10 + 2 (or equivalent examination from recognized board) with a minimum of 50 % marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together, candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

Entrance Test for admission to Ayurveda Vachaspati /Dhanwantari [M.D. (Ay)/M.S. (Ay)] Courses for 13 seats in the subjects,
Kayachikitsa (G 2), Kayachikitsa Manovigyan and Manas Roga (G 1), Prasuti Tantra (G 1; SC 1), Shalya Tantra (G 1), Dravyaguna Vigyana (ST 1), Rasa Shastra (PD 1), Kaumarbhritya (G 1), Kriyasharir (SC 1), Swasthavritta (G 1), Ayurveda Siddhanta (G 1) and Shalakya Tantra – Netra Roga (G 1) will be held only at VARANASI Centre.
Eligibility for MD/MS Courses:
(a) BAMS recognized by CCIM
(b) MBBS recognized by MCI for supernumerary category only
(c) The candidate must have completed 12 months rotating internship (4 ½ years BAMS course) / 6 months rotating internship (5 years BAMS course) by 31.07.2008.
Age Limit for MD/MS Courses - The Upper age limit for admission will be 35 years (40 years for SC/ST and Sponsored candidates), on 31.07.2008.
