JSSU 2017 Pharmacy Qualification

Requisite qualification for D. Pharm course :

  • Pass in H.Sc. / PDC / PUC / 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology ( Botany & Zoology ) or Mathematics.

Requisite Qualification for admission to B. Pharm course :

  • Pass in H.Sc / PDC / PUC / 10+2 with an aggregate of 40% of marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology ( Botany & Zoology ) or Mathematics and also English passed separately. In case of SC / ST / OBC, the minimum percentage of marks for admission to B. Pharm Course shall be not less than 35% in P.U.C. or its equivalent examination in P.C.B, or P.C.M.

Bachelor of Pharmacy Practice ( B. Pharm. Pr. ) :

  • Pass in Diploma in Pharmacy Course from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India approved under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act 1948.
  • Registered Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act.
  • Minimum of four years of pharmacy practice experience in a community or hospital pharmacy.

Requisite Qualification for admission to Pharm D. course:

  •  Pass in H.Sc., / PDC / PUC / 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology ( Botany & Zoology ) or Mathematics ( OR )
  •  Pass in D. Pharm examination from PCI approved institution.

Requisite qualification for Pharm D. ( Post Baccalaureate ) course.

  • Pass in B. Pharm from the recognized University and approved by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi

Requisite Qualification for admission to M. Pharm Course:

  • A candidate who has passed B. Pharm course from any recognized University or any other equivalent degree in pharmacy recognized by pharmacy council of India ( PCI ) and All India Council of Technical Education ( AICTE ) for admission and who has secured not less than 50% of the maximum marks ( aggregate of four years ) prescribed for the qualifying examination, shall be eligible for the admission to the M. Pharm course. ( In case of SC / ST / OBC category, candidates has to secure not less than 40% ( aggregate of four years )

Note :

Age : The candidate should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December, 2017 for admission to D-Pharm B. Pharm, B. Pharm Pr. and Pharm – D programs.

JSSU 2017 Pharmacy Online Application Form

Candidates have to register and enter the application details through online to become eligible for admission to Diploma, Undergraduate & Postgraduate Pharmacy courses for the academic year 2017. The conventional method of pen and paper filling of form is done away with from 2016. Please note the following:

  • Online registration and application is a user-friendly process.
  • First candidates have to register their names providing requested detail in the first step of the online procedure and after getting login details, candidate can login and fill up the online application form through Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University, ( JSSU ) website: www.jssuni.edu.in
  • Before filling application form, please scan and store the latest Photograph and Signature as separate files in JPG format only. The same needs to be uploaded as required during the ‘On-line Application’ process.
  • Most of the fields will be only a selection from the readily available information; and all the fields are self-explanatory with dropdown menu the candidates have to select the suitable / appropriate items from the drop down list wherever applicable.
  • The candidates have to select the declaration after confirming themselves that there are no changes to be incorporated or all the entries made by them in the online application are correct.
  • After declaration by the candidates, the prescribed registration fee should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a credit card OR a debit card issued by a bank in India OR through internet banking.
  • Once the declaration is done, there is no provision to change / edit / delete / add any information to the entries already made by the candidates.
  • Candidates are informed to make sure that the entries made before declaration are correct.
  • After completion of all the processes, the candidate must ensure that a print out of his / her application is to be downloaded and produced at the time of entrance test & counseling along with required documents.
  • Please note that, the registration fee paid is NON-REFUNDABLE.

JSSU 2017 Pharmacy Admission Procedure

  • Candidates are advised to read the Information Bulletin carefully before starting “online registration and filling of online application form” and ensure that no column is left blank.
  • Candidates have to provide all the information required for each entry during filling of online application.
  • Candidates can register for admission to Diploma, Undergraduate & Postgraduate Pharmacy Programmes only through “Online”.
  • Before filling application form, please scan and store the latest Photograph and Signature as separate files in JPG format only. The same needs to be uploaded as required during the ‘On-line Application’ process.

  • Registration and submission of online application form may be made by accessing Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University ( JSSU ) Website: www.jssuni.edu.in and Instructions for Online submission of Application Form are available in the Information Bulletin.
  • Online registration and online submission of applications can be accessed from 10th March, 2017 ( Friday ) from Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University ( JSSU ) website.
  • Online registration and online submission of applications will be closed on 23:59 hrs on 15th June, 2017
  • The prescribed application / registration fee should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a credit card OR a debit card issued by a bank in India OR through internet banking. There is no provision for Offline payment.
  • Candidates should take the printout of the application form on A-4 Size sheet of paper. Affix the original passport size photo and the same should be produced during document verification at the time of entrance test / counseling / admission process along with originals as per schedule announced in the Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University ( JSSU ) website: www.jssuni.edu.in
  • Candidates are requested NOT TO SEND PRINT OUT of the online application and any other document to the University office.
  • Selection will be made on the merit based on marks secured in Qualifying examinations in relevant subjects conducted by various Universities and an entrance examination.
  • The syllabus for entrance test for admission to D. Pharm, B. Pharm and Pharm D and programme will be at level of 10+2 / PUC examination in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • The syllabus for entrance test for admission to M.Pharm & Pharm D ( Post Baccalaureate ) course will be on the basis of questions at III year and Final year of B. Pharm course.
  • The entrance test will be followed by counseling and admission process will be conducted on 23rd June, 2017 and 24th June, 2017. ( Saturday ) UG & PG respectively.
  • The Exam Center will be at JSS College of Pharmacy MYSURU and JSS College of Pharmacy OOTY.
  • Admission of selected students to courses and colleges allotted during counseling session.

The candidates have to download the Test Admission Ticket ( TAT ) for the Entrance Test from the Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University ( JSSU ) website www.jssuni.edu.in using their registration number & same will be made available after 15th June, 2017 along with any further instruction.

JSSU 2017 Pharmacy Counselling

  • The entrance exam and counseling sessions will be conducted at Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University ( JSSU ) , Mysuru, JSS Medical Institutions Campus, Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagar, Mysuru–570015, Karnataka.
  • The date of entrance exam and counseling will be held on 23rd June, 2017 and 24th June, 2017. failure to report for counselling on thescheduled date and time will result in instantaneous cancellation of claim of the candidate to the seat.
  • The candidate should remain present for the counseling and for on-the-spot-admission.
  • Only the candidate and one of his parents / guardian will be allowed into the hall where counseling is held. The candidates will be called in the order of their ranking in the merit list and offered the seats to the various courses available at that point of time. The candidate will be allowed to choose admission to any of the courses if a seat is available when his / her turn comes from the specialization opted by him / her.
  • The candidate must note that appearance for the examination and inclusion of name in the Merit List does not necessarily mean that he /she will get admission to any course. His / her admission to a particular course will depend upon the availability of seats for that particular course at the time of counseling.
  • At the time of reporting for the counseling, the candidate is required to produce the documents ( original and two sets of photocopies, ) list mentioned above and six recent passport size colour photographs. If the candidate is admitted to any of the courses, these documents will be retained by the University till he / she completes the course.If the candidate fails to produce all or any of the documents listed mentioned above he / she will instantaneously forfeit his / her claim for a seat.
  • The candidates in the merit list will be called as per their ranks for counseling and onthe-spot admission to the various courses and colleges.

JSS University invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission to MBBS Course for the academic year 2017 – 2018. The admission will be based on NEET UG 2017. JSS University 2017 MBBS Selection will be made on merit based on marks / rank secured in NEET Entrance Test 2017.

JSSU UGET MBBS Eligibility 2017

Requisite Qualification for admission to JSSU MBBS Course

The candidate seeking admission to UG Medical ( MBBS ) courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination 10+2 / PUC II / HSC or the Indian School Certificate Examination ( ISCE ) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2 / HSC examination of any recognized Board / University from any School / Colleges in India / Abroad after 12 years of study. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry & Biology ( PCB ) with English as a compulsory subject. Those who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination earlier than March / April 2015 are not eligible to apply.

JSS UGET MBBS Eligibility for General Merit Candidates

The General Merit Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. As per the Medical Council of India ( MCI ) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB, Further they must secure not less than 50% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test ( NEET UG 2017 )

JSS UGET MBBS Eligibility for SC, ST and OBC Candidates

The SC, ST and OBC Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. A candidate desirous of admission to Undergraduate Medical ( MBBS ) Programs is required to complete the prescribed application form and submit to the University in the following ways :

JSS University MBBS Counselling 2017

Issue of JSS UGET Counseling Call Letter

JSS University MBBS counseling schedule and counseling Call letter will be announced on University website www.jssuni.edu.in. ( Dates will be announced in the website ). No separate counseling call letter will be sent to the candidate. Candidates are required to download the counseling call letter and attend the counseling as per schedule announced in the website.

JSS UGET Counselling & on the Spot Admission Session

JSS UGET 2017 counseling sessions will be conducted at JSS University, JSS Medical Institutions Campus, Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagar, Mysuru – 570 015, Karnataka. Open counseling shall be conducted in a transparent way in the auditorium after scrutinizing all the Original documents and also making use of Biometric verification and Photo – identification of the candidates. The date will be displayed on the University Website later. FAILURE TO REPORT FOR COUNSELING ON THE SCHEDULED DATE AND TIME WILL RESULT IN INSTANTANEOUS CANCELLATION OF CLAIM OF THE CANDIDATE TO THE SEAT; It shall be candidate’s responsibility to see the JSS University Medical ( MBBS ) merit list on scheduled date announced in the University website.

The candidates in the merit list prepared by JSS University, MYSURU, on the basis of marks and rank obtained by them in NEET UG 2017, will be called as per their ranks for counseling and offered on-the-spot admission to the course.

Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available.

The candidate should remain present for the counseling and for on the spot admission, as per the schedule displayed on Website, even though he / she fails to receive any information letter, for any reason from the University.

To ensure fairness to the merited students and eliminate fraudulent attempts, it is planned to use biometric ( finger print ) identification at various stages of counseling and admission process and this would be done at the discretion of the University.

Only the candidate and one of his parents / guardian will be allowed into the hall where counseling is held. The candidates will be called in the order of their ranking in the merit list and offered the seats to the MBBS course available at that point of time. The candidate will be allowed to choose admission to the course if a seat is available when his / her turn comes.

At the time of reporting for the counseling, the candidate is required to produce the documents ( original and three sets of photocopies ) list. If the candidate is admitted to the course, these documents will be retained by the University till he / she completes the course. If the candidate fails to produce all or any of the documents listed mentioned above he / she will instantaneously forfeit his / her claim for a seat.

Note : Once admission is confirmed, original documents submitted to the University will not be returned back to the candidate under any circumstances.

If a candidate wants to take back his / her original certificates after he / she is allotted a seat in the counseling, he / she may do so after submitting an undertaking stating that he / she will resubmit the same on said date by the counseling committee, failing which his / her allotted seat will be cancelled and the resulting vacancy will be declared for allotment in the next round of counseling.

The selected candidate will be required to pay the entire amount of annual fee on the day of counseling itself. ( Through Bank Draft drawn in the name of for “The Principal, JSS Medical College, MYSURU”, payable at MYSURU.

Differences of opinion and disputes arising in the interpretation and implementation of the clauses in the brochure, if any, will be referred to the Vice – Chancellor, JSS University, MYSURU, and his decision shall be final and binding on all concerned.

The JSS University website www.jssuni.edu.in is updated regularly. The JSS University suggests all candidates to visit it frequently for relevant information.

At the time of counseling, you are required to produce the following documents in original; failure to do so will result in instantaneous cancellation of your claim for admission. You are also required to submit three attested photocopies of each of these documents.

JSS UGET BDS Counselling 2017

If the candidate is admitted to the course, these documents will be retained by the University till he / she completes the course. If the candidate fails to produce all or any of the documents listed above he / she will instantaneously forfeit his / her claim for a seat.

The JSS University website www.jssuni.edu.in is updated regularly. The JSS University suggests all candidates to visit it frequently for relevant information.

List of original documents required while reporting for JSS University Counseling :

At the time of counseling, you are required to produce the following documents in original; failure to do so will result in instantaneous cancellation of your claim for admission. You are also required to submit three attested photocopies of each of these documents.

  • Aadhar Card of the student – Copy
  • NEET UG 2017 Rank card
  • Online allotment letter of MCC
  • 10th standard marks card – Original + 3 attested copies
  • 12th standard marks card – Original + 3 attested copies
  • Transfer certificate – Original + 3 attested copies
  • Conduct certificate – Original + 3 attested copies
  • Migration certificate – Original + 3 attested copies ( other than Karnataka board candidates )
  • Physical fitness certificate
  • Caste Certificate ( in case of SC / ST / OBC candidate )
  • 5 passport size and 5 stamp size photos
  • Annual Tuition fee – D.D for Rs.14,71,750/- DD in favouring “ The Principal, JSS Medical College, Mysore”
    payable at Mysore
  • Aadhar Card & PAN card of the parents– Copy
  • BOND [ AS PER FORMAT FURNISHED ]
