JSS University UGET invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission to D.Pharm, B.Pharm, Pharm.D , Pharm.D ( Post Baccalaureate ) Course for the academic year 2016 – 2017.

List of JSS University Pharmacy 2016 Courses

D.Pharm, B. Pharm, Pharm.D, Pharm – D ( Post Baccalaureate ), M.Pharm ( 10 specializations ) and Ph.D. Program.

B.Pharm : A graduate program with an industrial focus, where students will have practical exposure to various aspects of pharma industrial working systems. The institution offers an advantage of a value added certificate program, on selected specializations at no additional cost, which benefits students for their industrial recruitment.

Practice School and Industrial Training : During III B.Pharm and IV B.Pharm course, every candidate shall be exposed to Pharmaceutical Manufacturing operation / research activities for a period of not less than 300 hrs. As a part of this training, candidates during the III B.Pharm course shall be exposed to unit operations in the college / industry by the industrial experts for a period of 150 hrs and the remaining 150 hrs in pharmaceutical manufacturing units / research laboratories during IV B.Pharm.

B.Pharm Plus M.Pharm : A dual degree integrated program leading to bachelor and master degree, with a diverse range of specialization, where the student can opt for his/her likeness in the master specialization during the graduation course itself.

Pharm.D is a 6 year Doctor of Pharmacy program that offers patient oriented pharmacy education and training. The students are trained in clinical pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical care services. The training site is a 1200 bed multispecialty teaching hospital. The 6th year Pharm.D students have an advantage of enrolling for one year PG Diploma program of the university at no extra cost. Selected sixth year students have an advantage of international university exchange based training for one semester at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia on scholarship offered
by the University.

Pharm.D ( Post Baccalaureate ) is a 3 years program as a lateral entry to the Pharm.D offered to B.Pharm graduates.

D-Pharm is 2 years program, Students who have passed D-Pharm are eligible for direct admission to join II BPharm. PCI is approving two years bridge course of D-Pharm for working as Pharmacist. The two years bridge course after D-Pharm is eligible to join for B.Pharm bridge course for which classes will be conducted in the evening for working Pharmacists who are having D Pharm qualification.

Bachelor of Pharmacy Practice is a 2 years program offered to Diploma in Pharmacy graduates, registered Pharmacist and four years of pharmacy practice experience in community / hospital pharmacy candidates.

JSSU Pharmacy 2016 Qualification

i. Requisite qualification for D – Pharm course :

  • Pass in H.Sc., / PDC / PUC ( 10+2 ) with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology or Biology or Mathematics.

ii. Requisite Qualification for admission to B.Pharm Course :

  • Pass in H.Sc. / PDC / PUC ( 10+2 ) with an aggregate of 40% of marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology ( Botany, Zoology ) or Mathematics and also English passed separately. In case of SC / ST / OBC, the minimum percentage of marks for admission to B.Pharm Course shall be not less than 35% in P.U.C. or its equivalent examination In P.C.B, or P.C.M.

iii. Requisite Qualification for admission to B.Pharm (Practice) course : 

  • Pass in D.Pharm examination from PCI approved institution.
  • A registered pharmacist under the phatmacy Act.
  • A Minimum of four years of pharmacy practice experience in a community or hospital pharmacy.
    • A certificate from competent authority starting that the candidate is endorsed as registered pharmacist in authority Drug License of a pharmacy as proof practice experience in case of community pharmacist
    • A certificate from the Principal / Medical Superintendent / Competent person of the Hospital / Health Unit stating that the candidate is working as a pharmacist will be accepted as proof of practice experience inb case of hospital pharmacist.
    • A no objection certificate from the employer.

iii. Requisite Qualification for JSS UGET 2016 Admission to PharmD course :

  • Pass in H.Sc., / PDC / PUC ( 10+2 ) with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology or Biology or Mathematics ( OR )
  • Pass in D.Pharm examination from PCI approved institution.

iv. Requisite qualification for PharmD ( Post Baccalaureate ) course :

  • Pass in B.Pharm from the recognized University and approved by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

Note : Age : The candidate should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December, 2016 for admission to B.Pharm, Pharm-D , D-Pharm and Pharm-D (PB) programs.

JSSU Pharmacy 2016 Syllabus

  • The syllabus of entrance test for admission to D.Pharm, B.Pharm and Pharm D. Program will be at level of 10+2 / PUC examination in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • The syllabus of entrance test for admission to Pharm D ( Post Baccalaureate ) course will be on the basis of questions at III year and Final year of B.Pharm course in the subjects Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

JSSU Pharmacy 2016 Application Form

A candidate desirous of admission to the B.Pharm, Pharm D. D – Pharm, B.Pharm Practice and Pharm D. ( Post Baccalaureate ) course is required to complete the prescribed application form and submit in either of the following ways :

  • A candidate is required to complete the prescribed application form and submit the same to the University on or before the scheduled date. The downloaded and printed application form should be sent along with a processing fee, only by way of DD favouring “JSS University Fee Account, Mysuru,” payable at Mysuru along with the relevant documents.
  • Candidates may also obtain the application form along with the Brochure by sending a processing fee of Rupee 200/- only by way of DD favouring “JSS University Fee Account, Mysuru,” payable at Mysuru. The duly filled application form should be sent to the University along with relevant documents. With a processing fee, only by way of DD favouring “JSS University Fee Account, Mysuru,” payable at Mysuru.

JSSU Pharmacy 2016 Counselling

1. JSSU Pharmacy entrance exam and counseling sessions will be conducted at JSS University, JSS Medical Institutions Campus, Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagar, Mysuru – 570015, Karnataka.

2. The date of Entrance Exam and counseling will be notified in the website. Failure to report for counseling on the scheduled date and time will result in instantaneous cancellation of claim of the candidate to the seat.

3. The candidate should remain present for the counseling and for on the – spot – admission.

4. Only the candidate and one of his parents / guardian will be allowed into the hall where counseling is held. The candidates will be called in the order of their ranking in the merit list and offered the seats to the various courses available at that point of time. The candidate will be allowed to choose admission to any of the courses if a seat is available when his / her turn comes from the specialization opted by him / her.

5. The candidate must note that appearance for the examination and inclusion of name in the Merit List does not necessarily mean that he / she will get admission to any course. His / her admission to a particular course will depend upon the availability of seats for that particular course at the time of counseling.

6. At the time of reporting for the counseling, the candidate is required to produce the documents ( original and two sets of photocopies, ) list and six recent passport size colour photographs. If the candidate is admitted to any of the courses, these documents will be retained by the University till he / she completes the course. If the candidate fails to produce all or any of the documents listed mentioned above he / she will instantaneously forfeit his / her claim for a seat.

7. The candidates in the merit list will be called as per their ranks for counseling and on-the-spot admission to the various courses and colleges.

JSSU MBBS Entrance Exam 2016

JSS University 2016 MBBS Entrance Exam

JSS University invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission to MBBS Course for the academic year 2016 – 2017. The admission will be based on COMEDK UGET Exam 2016. JSS University 2016 MBBS Selection will be made on merit based on marks / rank secured in COMEDK UGET Entrance Test 2016.

JSSU UGET MBBS Eligibility 2016

i. Requisite Qualification for admission to JSSU 2016 MBBS Course :

1. The candidate seeking admission to UG Medical ( MBBS ) courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination 10+2 / PUC II / HSC or the Indian School Certificate Examination ( ISCE ) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2 / HSC examination of any recognized Board / University from any School / Colleges in India / Abroad after 12 years of study. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry & Biology ( PCB ) with English as a compulsory subject. Those who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination earlier than March / April 2014 are not eligible to apply.

ii. JSS UGET 2016 MBBS Eligibility for General Merit Candidates :

2. The General Merit Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. As per the Medical Council of India ( MCI ) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB, Further they must secure not less than 50% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test ( COMED K UGET 2016 )

iii. JSS UGET 2016 MBBS Eligibility for SC, ST and OBC Candidates :

3. The SC, ST and OBC Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. As per the Medical Council of India ( MCI ) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% of marks taken together in PCB, further they must secure not less than 40% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test ( COMED K UGET 2016 ).

iv. Age Limit for JSS University 2016 MBBS Admission :

The candidate should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the MBBS course. ( 31st December, 2016 )

JSS University MBBS Application Form 2016

A candidate desirous of admission to Undergraduate Medical ( MBBS ) Programs is required to complete the prescribed application form and submit to the University in the following ways :

i. JSS UGET 2016 MBBS Application Form Download :

  • A candidate is required to download the prescribed application form from the University website www.jssuni.edu.in and submit the completed form to the University on or before the scheduled date ( A copy of the application form ).
  • The downloaded and printed application form should be sent along with COMED K UGET 2016 test score and rank and processing fee of Rupee 2,000/- only by way of DD favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT, MYSURU”, payable at MYSURU along with the documents.*

ii. JSS UGET 2016 MBBS Application Form through Post :

  • Candidates may also obtain the application form along with the Brochure by sending a application fee of Rupee 200/- only by way of DD favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT, MYSURU”, payable at MYSURU.

JSS University MBBS Selection Procedure 2016

  1. Submission of the application form with COMED K UGET 2016 Test Score and Rank by post or in person along with Photographs and other enclosures on or before 4th July, 2016 at 5:00 PM.
  2. The application downloaded from the Website of the University should be accompanied by a DD for Rupee 2,000/- drawn in favour of “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT” payable at MYSURU.

JSS University MBBS Counselling 2016

Issue of JSS UGET 2016 Counseling Call Letter :

JSS University MBBS counseling schedule and counseling Call letter will be announced on University website www.jssuni.edu.in. ( Dates will be announced in the website ). No separate counseling call letter will be sent to the candidate. Candidates are required to download the counseling call letter and attend the counseling as per schedule announced in the website.

JSS UGET 2016 Counselling & on the Spot Admission Session :

1. JSS UGET 2016 counseling sessions will be conducted at JSS University, JSS Medical Institutions Campus, Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagar, Mysuru – 570 015, Karnataka. Open counseling shall be conducted in a transparent way in the auditorium after scrutinizing all the Original documents and also making use of Biometric verification and Photo – identification of the candidates. The date will be displayed on the University Website later. FAILURE TO REPORT FOR COUNSELING ON THE SCHEDULED DATE AND TIME WILL RESULT IN INSTANTANEOUS CANCELLATION OF CLAIM OF THE CANDIDATE TO THE SEAT; It shall be candidate’s responsibility to see the JSS University Medical ( MBBS ) merit list on scheduled date announced in the University website.

2. The candidates in the merit list prepared by JSS University, MYSURU, on the basis of marks and rank obtained by them in COMEDK UGET 2016, will be called as per their ranks for counseling and offered on-the-spot admission to the course.

3. Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available. 

4. The candidate should remain present for the counseling and for on the spot admission, as per the schedule displayed on Website, even though he / she fails to receive any information letter, for any reason from the University.

5. To ensure fairness to the merited students and eliminate fraudulent attempts, it is planned to use biometric ( finger print ) identification at various stages of counseling and admission process and this would be done at the discretion of the University.

6. Only the candidate and one of his parents / guardian will be allowed into the hall where counseling is held. The candidates will be called in the order of their ranking in the merit list and offered the seats to the MBBS course available at that point of time. The candidate will be allowed to choose admission to the course if a seat is available when his / her turn comes.

7. At the time of reporting for the counseling, the candidate is required to produce the documents ( original and three sets of photocopies ) list. If the candidate is admitted to the course, these documents will be retained by the University till he / she completes the course. If the candidate fails to produce all or any of the documents listed mentioned above he / she will instantaneously forfeit his / her claim for a seat.

8. Note : Once admission is confirmed, original documents submitted to the University will not be returned back to the candidate under any circumstances.

9. If a candidate wants to take back his / her original certificates after he / she is allotted a seat in the counseling, he / she may do so after submitting an undertaking stating that he / she will resubmit the same on said date by the counseling committee, failing which his / her allotted seat will be cancelled and the resulting vacancy will be declared for allotment in the next round of counseling.

10. The selected candidate will be required to pay the entire amount of annual fee on the day of counseling itself. ( Through Bank Draft drawn in the name of for “The Principal, JSS Medical College, MYSURU”, payable at MYSURU.

11. Differences of opinion and disputes arising in the interpretation and implementation of the clauses in the brochure, if any, will be referred to the Vice – Chancellor, JSS University, MYSURU, and his decision shall be final and binding on all concerned.

12. The JSS University website www.jssuni.edu.in is updated regularly. The JSS University suggests all candidates to visit it frequently for relevant information.

  13. Three Passport size photo’s, of which one to be affixed to the application form in space provided.

  15. An affidavit in the format signed by you and countersigned by your Parent / guardian in the presence of Notary Public on a stamp paper of Rupee 50/- ( minimum )

  • The candidate seeking admission to any of these courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination 10+2 / PUC II / HSC or the Indian School Certificate Examination ( ISCE ) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2 / HSC examination of any recognized Board / University from any School / Colleges in India / Abroad after 12 years of study. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry & Biology ( PCB ) with English as a compulsory subject.
  • The General Merit Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. As per the Dental Council of India ( DCI ) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB, Further they must secure not less than 50% marks in the Common Entrance Test.   • The SC, ST and OBC Candidates should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. ii. Age Limit for JSS University BDS Exam 2015 :

The candidate should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December, 2015 for admission to BDS program.

JSSU BDS 2015 Exam Pattern

JSSU UGET entrance test 2015 will consist of one question paper set in English medium. The time allotted for the test would be 180 minutes ( 03 hours ). The test will begin at 10:00 A.M. and end at 01:00 P.M.

JSSU BDS 2015 Application Form

A candidate desirous of appearing in the JSS University Entrance Test 2015 for Undergraduate Dental Course ( BDS ) is required to complete the prescribed application form and submit to the University in the following ways :

  • A candidate is required to download the prescribed application form from the University website www.jssuni.edu.in and submit the completed form to the University on or before the scheduled date. The downloaded and completed application form should be sent along with a processing fee of Rupee 1,000/- only by way of DD favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT, MYSORE”, payable at Mysore along with the documents listed below.*
  • Candidates may also obtain the application form along with the Brochure by sending a application fee of Rupee 200/- only by way of DD favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT”, MYSORE, payable at Mysore. The duly filled application form should be sent to the University along with documents listed below enclosing DD for Rupee 1,000/- favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT, MYSORE”, payable at Mysore.

  • The JSS University BDS Test Admission Ticket ( TAT ) will be issued on day of entrance test at test centre only.
  • Please recheck the website for any changes / updates before leaving your hometown for the test.

JSSU BDS 2015 Selection Procedure

  • Submission of JSS UGET application form for entrance test / admission by post or in person along with Photographs and other enclosures on or before 15th June, 2015 at 5.00 P.M.
  • JSSU BDS 2015 Selection will be made on the merit based on marks secured in Qualifying examinations ( PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent ) in relevant subjects conducted by various Board / Universities and JSSU entrance examination.
  • The application downloaded from the Website of the University should be accompanied by a DD for Rupee 1,000/- drawn in favour of “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT, Mysore” payable at Mysore.
  • The date of JSSU UGET entrance test will be followed by counseling held on 25th June, 2015. ( Thursday )
  • The Exam Center will be at MYSORE center only.
  • Admission of selected students to BDS course as allotted during counseling session.

JSS UGET 2015 BDS Counselling

1. The counseling sessions will be conducted at JSS University, JSS Medical Institutions Campus, Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagar, Mysore – 570 015, Karnataka. The date will be displayed on the University Website later. Failure to Report for Counselling on the Scheduled Date and time will Result in Instantaneous Cancellation of Claim of the Candidate to the Seat; it shall be candidate’s responsibility to see the result of JSSU rank list.

2. The candidate should remain present for the counseling and for on the spotadmission, as per the schedule displayed on Website and notice board, even though he / she fail to receive any information letter, for any reason from the University.

3. To ensure fairness to the merited students and eliminate fraudulent attempts, it is planned to use biometric ( finger print ) identification at various stages of counselling process and this would be done at the discretion of the University.

4. Only the candidate and one of his parents / guardian will be allowed into the hall where counseling is held. The candidates will be called in the order of their ranking in the merit list and offered the seats to the BDS course available at that point of time. The candidate will be allowed to choose admission to the course if a seat is available when his / her turn comes.

5. The candidate must note that appearance for the examination and inclusion of name in the Merit List does not necessarily mean that he / she will get admission to the course. His / her admission to the course will depend upon the availability of seats at the time of counseling.

6. At the time of reporting for the counseling, the candidate is required to produce the documents ( original and two sets of photocopies ) list mentioned above. If the candidate is admitted to the course, these documents will be retained by the University till he / she completes the course. If the candidate fails to produce all or any of the documents listed above he / she will instantaneously forfeit his / her claim for a seat.

7. The JSS University website www.jssuni.edu.in is updated regularly. The JSS University suggests all candidates to visit it frequently for relevant information.

List of original documents required while reporting for JSS University Counseling :

At the time of counseling, you are required to produce the following documents in original; failure to do so will result in instantaneous cancellation of your claim for admission. You are also required to submit three attested photocopies of each of these documents.

  • S.S.L.C. / Equivalent examination marks card.
  • • P.U.C. / 10+2 / Equivalent examination marks card
  • Conduct / Character and Transfer certificate issued by the college last studied.
  • Date of birth certificate if not mentioned in the SSLC / Equivalent examination marks card.
  • Caste / community certificate. ( The certificate issued by competent authority for candidates claiming lower eligibility under SC / ST / Category – I / OBC categories.
  • Transfer certificate for Karnataka board candidates.
  • Migration Certificate issued by the Board / University ( Other than Karnataka Board Students )
  • Six recent, identical passport – size colour photographs with name and date.
  • An affidavit in the format signed by you and countersigned by your Parent / guardian in the presence of Notary Public on a stamp paper of Rupee 50/- ( minimum )
  • DD’s ( of Nationalized Bank ) for Tuition fees drown in favour of : “The Principal, JSS Dental College, Mysore”, payable at Mysore.
