  • Kind Attention :- Sub: PRAYER FOR YOUR PHILANTHROPIC TOUCH Respected Sir /Madam I have seen your advt. regarding admission in MBBS etc. . I am sorry to say you sir, that, I felt pity to know that, there is very little/ no relaxation for the ill-fated physically handicapped students, more specifically for the physically handicapped girl students .I am sure that, it is an inadvertently mistake any where, because ,While all govt. and other Non-Govt organizations become seriously conscious for the humanity and philanthropic attitudes, among the needy, poor and ill people, you can't forget and neglect the students, who are really deserves the relaxation. So many Institutions, even some IIT s give relaxations to Physically Challenged students and girls in following manner :- i) in the price of prospectus, ii) in Application Fees, iii) Reservation of Seats, iv) Relaxation in minimum eligibility marks, v) Relaxation of Age vi)course fees vii) Cut-Off marks etc. viii) Pre selection Training/coaching etc. You will be agree with me Sir/Madam , that, as a social responsible person or organization we should give them priority than all others. And the ill-fated children should get relaxation in those subjects.. Sir, As a social worker, I have noticed that, a good number of Physically Challenged but meritorious students are forced to leave their studies as their parents are either unable or unwilling to continue the studies of a Physically Disabled child . It is needless to say about the situation in a family of my country, while the student becomes a female one. I have seen that more than 80% guardians of Female Physically Challenged students are either unwilling to do the expenditure for the girl child or really unable to bear the cost, beside the other expenses e.g. * Treatment and Special Treatment cost in hospital and even in home, * Special transport arrangement cost, * Special man -power cost to accompany for the safety of Girl child, * Special home tuition cost, * Special food arrangement cost, * Special foot wear and appliances cost, even for Special arrangement of bed to take rest, * etc. etc. Many people whom I have interviewed recently give their opinion that the Physically Challenged students should get the same priority as S.C/ S.T/ OBC,while the Physically Challenged "GIRL" students deserves more priority than the all mentioned before, and we should seriously think these, if we are really willing to uplift the females in our country. Reservation of seats, Preparatory Training for admission , Price slash of the cost of prospectus, Relaxation in age % of minimum eligibility marks, cost of total course fees, Cut-Off Marks Pre-selection coaching etc. etc, should be equal with(If it is not possible to give more) the SC/ST/OBC. I expect your kind intervention, for the needful correction order regarding this and surely prove your Academic and CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES for the ill-fated Physically Challenged Candidates. Wish your kind action with best regards and thanks once again, yours faithfully Mrs. Tapati Goswami Kolkata-27 email: goswamitapati09@gmail.com Mob. 9434193037 (PP)
