PGIMER 2013 Entrance Exam Date

1. B.Sc Nursing – 4 years programme ( only for female candidates ).
2. B.Sc Nursing ( Post- Basic ) – 2 years programme
3. M.Sc Nursing – 2 years programme

PGIMER Nursing Entrance Eligibility 2013

A. B.Sc. Nursing ( 4 years )- only for female candidates ( Code – 024 )

• The minimum educational requirement shall be 10+2 examination passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or any other examination as equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates appearing in +2 examination in April – May 2013 can also apply for the course, but they will be issued Admit card / roll numbers only if they submit the certificates / Marks sheet
  from the respective Boards of their having passed the +2 examination to the Principal, NINE by 19.07.2013.
• AGE LIMIT : Not more than 25 years and not less than 17 years on 1st September, 2013 i.e. those born after 1st September, 1996 and before 1st September 1988 are not eligible.

B. B.Sc. Nursing ( Post – Basic ) ( Course Code – 023 )

• Must have passed 10+2 or any other examination equivalent thereto.
• Must have passed General Nursing and Midwifery with minimum of 50% aggregate.
• Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife qualified from a recognized institute & registered with respective State Nursing Council as approved by Indian Nursing Council ( INC ) or substitute registration in case of male candidates fully qualified for nursing of men, women and children.

In service candidates should route application through the employer.

C. B.Sc. Nursing – 4 years ( Course Code – 022 )

• B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing ( Post – Basic ) or any other degree from the institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and PGIMER, Chandigarh as equivalent thereto with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
• Should have minimum one year of work experience after registration as Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife by 15th July of the year in bedside nursing in a minimum 100 bedded hospital or public health nursing or in nursing educational institutions recognized by the Indian Nursing Council after B.Sc. Nursing ( 4 years ) or before and after Post – Basic B.Sc. Nursing. The experience certificate on the letter head of the hospital should clearly indicate the number of beds and registration Number with State Govt., failing which experience will not be considered.
• Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife as approved by INC or substitute registration in the case of male candidates fully qualified for nursing of men, women and children. In service candidates should route application through the employer.

PGIMER invites applications for admission to Postdoctoral and Postgraduate courses for the academic session starting from 1st July, 2013.

PGIMER 2013 Entrance Exam Date

PGIMER Duration of the Courses 2013 

• DM / MCh course : Three years
• MD / M S course : Three years
• MDS : Three years
• MHA : Two years
• House Job ( OHS ) : up to 30th June / 31st December for January and July session respectively.

PGIMER DM / MCH Eligibility 2013

A. Educational Qualification :

For all DM courses except for DM ( Clinical Pharmacology, Neuro Radiology, Haematopathology, Cardiac Anaesthesia, Pediatric Neurology ) course :

• MD degree in Medicine or Paediatrics or its equivalent qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India, except as other wise indicated.
• Must be registered with the Central / State Medical Registration Council.

For DM ( Clinical Pharmacology ) course :

• MD degree in Pharmacology or its equivalent qualification in any clinical subject recognized by the Medical Council of India.

For DM ( Neuro Radiology ) course :

• MD degree in Radiology or its equivalent qualification recognised by the Medical Council of India.

For DM ( Haematopathology ) course :

• MD degree in Pathology or equivalent degree.

For DM ( Cardiac – Anaesthesia ) course :

• MD degree in Anesthesia or equivalent degree.

For DM ( Pediatric – Neurology ) course :

• MD degree in Pediatrics or equivalent degree.

For MCh courses :

• MS degree in General Surgery or its equivalent qualification recognized by Medical Council of India.

For MCh ( Plastic Surgery ) Courses :

• MS degree in General Surgery / MS ( ENT ) / MS ( Orthopedics ) or its equivalent qualification recognized by Medical Council of India.
• Must be registered with the Central / State Medical Registration Council.

B. Age limit

1. As on 1st July / 1st January for session starting from July and January respectively.
2. For Open Category : 35 years
3. For SC / ST, Ex – Serviceman and Commissioned Officer including ECO, SSCO who have rendered or released on satisfactory assignment ( Please attach the proof ) : 40 years
4. For OBC candidates : 38 years
5. Deputed / Sponsored candidates : No age limit

PGIMER 2013 MD / MS / MHA Eligibility

Educational Qualification :

1. MBBS passed or its equivalent qualification from a University / Institute recognized by Medical Council of India.

2. Must have either completed or due to complete one year internship ( rotatory houseman ship ) training by 30th June / 31st December, for July and January session respectively.

3. Must be registered with Central / State Medical Registration Council.

PGIMER House Job ( Oral Health Sciences ) Eligibility 2013

For admission to 1styear Junior Residency for MDS and House Job ( Oral Health Sciences ) course, a candidate is required to possess the following qualifications :

1. Degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery ( BDS ) of Panjab University or any other University recognized by the Syndicate of the Panjab University as equivalent there to.
2.  Must have either completed or due to complete compulsory paid rotating internship on 30th June / 31st December, for July and January session respectively.
3. Must be registered with the Central state Dental Registration Council.

Note :

• The candidate appointed through the entrance examination forHouse Job ( Oral Health Sciences ) for a period of six months, their period can be extended up to one year on the recommendation of the Head of the department.
• The candidate will be eligible for House Job with in 3years of obtaining the BDS degree.
• House Job will be offered once in the department for a maximum period of one year.
• The candidates who have already done House Job in any Hospital or Institute are note ligible for House Job.

PGIMER Master in Hospital Administration ( MHA ) Eligibility 2013

Educational Qualification :

1. MBBS or its equivalent degree from a University / Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India with three years experience after passing MBBS examination. ( OR )

2. Should have worked in State Medical Services, Armed Forces Medical Services or other equivalent services for a period of five years are spent in a hospital which is approved for purposes of undergoing the compulsory rotating internship or in a command hospital,failing which the afore said period of five years would be increased to seven years. Provided that in case of services in Armed Forces, this afore said period of five years shall be in addition to one year or compulsory rotating internship required fo rpurposes of obtaining the MBBS degree and full degree and full registration. ( or )

3. Should have worked as Medical Superintendent,a Deputy Medical Superintendent in a Civilor Military Hospital for one year.The posts mentioned imply that the candidate would have fulfilled the requirements of above clause a she / he would have completed five years in the State Medical Services etc ).

PGIMER Admission Procedure 2013

1. Closing of Admission

• Admission to all courses ie DM / MCh / MD / MS / MHA / MDS / House Job ( Oral Health Sciences )will close on 31st July and 31st January for July and January session respectively.

2. Starting Session

1. Admission to various post doctoral / postgraduate courses conducted at the Institute is made twice a year. The sessions commence from first January and first July each year.
2. The Institute follows a residency service cum training scheme comprising Junior Residents : Candidates admitted to MD / MS / MDS and House Job ( Oral Health Sciences ) courses are called Junior Residents / Junior Demonstrators and those enrolled for DM / MCh courses are designated as Senior Residents / Senior Demonstrators.
3. The admission to the above courses imparted at the Institute is made on merit on all India basis by holding an entrance examination by the Institute, after issuing a country wide admission notice. The admission notice is published in leading English newspapers of India usually during August / September and March / April for January and July Sessions respectively.
