5. Eligibility Criteria for PIMS AICET 2008:

Candidate fulfilling the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for AICET- 2008.

a. A candidate must be Indian National, The Nationality Certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid Passport shall be considered as the proof of Nationality.

b. The candidates must be either of 17 years of age or attain this age as on 31.12.2008 (i.e. the candidate should not have been born after 31.12.1991).

c. Candidate should have passed H S C (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with English, securing minimum 50 % marks (40 % for candidates belonging to Backward classes) in aggregate of the subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology).

The Backward class candidates must attach a copy of the Caste and Caste Validity Certificate along with the application form. It should however be noted that there is no reservation for Backward Class students. This certificate is required in support of relaxation of eligibility criteria if the candidate from Backward class gets an admission on the basis of AICET–2008 merit list but has scored less than 50 % marks at H.S.C. level.

d. Candidates who have appeared for H.S.C. or equivalent examination and whose results will be declared before the dates of Counseling will also be eligible to appear for AICET- 2008.

6. PIMS AICET-2008 Exam Centers:

The AICET-2008 shall be conducted at the following cities

PIMS AICET Entrance Test Fee: Rs. 1,000/- payable by demand draft drawn in favour of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni - 413 736. In case a downloaded form is used by the student, he/she should enclose D.D. for Rs. 1,500/- as Examination Fee.

Last Date for receipt of Application Form: Upto 5 PM on 12.04.2008 at the address of the Controller of Examination, PIMS, Loni - 413 736

Distribution of Hall Tickets: Between 15.03.2008 to 15.04.2008. In case a candidate does not receive Hall Ticket by 25.04.2008, he/she should immediately contact to the Controller of Examination PIMS - AICET – 2008 by E-Mail: dy.registrar@pmtpims.org.
