Eligibility for PIMS AICET 2010 Post Graduate Courses

* A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with MCI/DCI (as the case may be) or any state council. If candidate does not have such registration , he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission.

* Candidates who are previously registered and pursuing/completed the PG degree course or have obtained PG degree, are not eligible for appearing at AICET.

* Candidates previously admitted to PG degree course and resigned/left the seat are not eligible for appearing at AICET.

* Candidate who have completed Medicine postgraduate diploma course or would be completing by 31st March respective academic year will be eligible for AICET for admission to postgraduate degree in the same subject only.

* Candidate should be appeared for the AICET Examination conducted by this University and should get minimum 50% marks. However, admission will be on the basis of merit.

PIMS AICET 2010 Mode of Entrance Test:

The AICET – 2010 PG will be of three hours duration. There will be one question paper for Common Entrance Test consisting 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ’s) based on the syllabus of undergraduate standard and shall cover all the subjects taught during undergraduate course (i.e. MBBS / BDS / B.P.Th as the case may be.)

PIMS AICET 2010 Centers for Entrance Test:

The PIMS - AICET - 2010 PG shall be conducted at the following centers,

• New Delhi
• Mumbai
• Pune
• Loni

PIMS 2010 Selection Process:

Candidates who secure minimum 50% marks at AICET - 2010 PG and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils shall be eligible for admission to Medical / Dental / Physiotherapy P.G. Courses and would be offered admission to these courses on the basis of inter-se-merit at the time of counselling.

Merit List: The result of the Entrance Test in the form of merit list separately for Medicine (MD/MS/ M.Sc./DIPLOMA), Dentistry (MDS) and Physiotherapy (M.P.Th), arranged in order of merit according to the marks obtained by the candidates containing name of candidates and marks obtained by them will be declared by the Admission Committee on 3rd week of February, 2010. The list will carry names of those candidates who have secured 50% and more marks (i.e. 100 and above marks out of 200) at the AICET - 2010 PG.
