Tamil Nadu Government Medical College invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission to MPharm Course for the academic year 2016 – 2017 in Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges / Self – Financing Institutions.

TN DME MPharm Eligibility 2016

1.

  • Candidates seeking admission to the Postgraduate M.Pharm., Degree Courses should be citizens of India and natives of Tamil Nadu.
  • Candidates of Tamil Nadu Nativity who have completed B.Pharm in other States should furnish a certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority only in the specified format in and supported by a copy of Passport / Ration Card / Voter’s ID / Driving License. If the copy of the supporting document is not produced, then the application
    form will be rejected .
  • Nativity Certificate submitted later will be summarily rejected.

2. Candidates should possess a B.Pharm., Degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other University recognized as Equivalent thereto by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University / Pharmacy Council. Candidates who have qualified from other universities should obtain and produce an Eligibility Certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University at the time of counseling, failing which they will not be considered for selection.

4. Candidates seeking admission to the Postgraduate M.Pharm., Degree course should have obtained not less than 50% of the total marks obtained in all semester subject marks taken together in the B.Pharm., Degree Course. In case of failure (s) the pass marks in the subsequent ( attempts ) shall be taken for calculation purpose. Number of attempts are not considered for calculation of marks.

5. A candidate who has already completed or acquired a Postgraduate Degree in any branch in M.Pharm., course or is undergoing a Postgraduate course in any branch is not eligible to apply for any other branch in M.Pharm., Degree course. Candidates who have discontinued a course on any grounds after the cut off date fixed by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and the candidates who have taken allotment after 25th May, 2016 and not joined the course on or before the cut off date are not eligible to apply for two years from the date of appearance for the entrance examination.

6. The following categories of B.Pharm., Graduates will be treated as Service candidates for selection under the seats reserved exclusively for service candidates.

  1. B.Pharm., graduates serving in Tamil Nadu Medical Service on a regular basis and who have completed two years of service as on 30th April, 2016.
  2. B.Pharm., graduates who are approved probationers serving in local bodies who have completed 2 years of service as on 30th April, 2016.

7. The following categories of B.Pharm., Graduates will be considered for selection under open quota as non – service candidates only.

  1. B.Pharm., graduates who are serving in Government of India institutions in Tamil Nadu / Public Sector undertaking and organization under control of Government of India in Tamil Nadu.
  2. B.Pharm., Graduates who are serving purely under temporary category in Tamil Nadu Medical Service / Local bodies.
  3. Self employed B.Pharm. Graduates and B.Pharm. Graduates serving in Private sector.

TN DME 2016 MPharm Exam Scheme

  • Candidates seeking admission should write the Tamil Nadu Post Graduate M.Pharm., Degree Course Entrance Examination conducted by the Selection Committee.
  • The TN DME 2016 MPharm Entrance Examination will be of the undergraduate level covering all subjects and will
    contain 125 objective type questions each with four responses (A B C D) in English. Number of questions in each subject.
  • Each question will carry 1 (one) Mark. There will be NO NEGATIVE MARK for incorrect responses. Zero mark will be given for questions not answered. When more than one answer is indicated or when it is illegible, no mark will be awarded for that question. The Maximum marks will be computed to 90.
  • No candidate shall be allowed to take back the Question Booklets and a request for provision of Xerox copies of the question booklet, answer sheet or answer key will not be entertained.

Tamil Nadu Government Medical College MPharm 2016 Application Form

1. Tamil Nadu Government Medical College MPharm 2015 Application forms along with the Prospectus can only be downloaded from websites 1. www.tnhealth.org and 2. www.tn.gov.in

2. Submission of application forms through online process only. Applications submitted through online shall be considered, only after receiving the print-out of online entry with necessary copies of certificates ( duly attested passport size photograph to be pasted on the space provided ). Application with necessary enclosures to be sent in a large sized cover measuring 38cm X 28cm superscribed ‘APPLICATION FOR M.Pharm COURSE 2016 – 2017 SESSION’ to the Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, Kilpauk, Chennai -10 before the last date along with a Demand Draft for 1000/- towards the cost of application form drawn in favour of The Secretary, Selection Committee, payable at Chennai.

3. Applications without the Demand Draft will not be accepted. The name of the candidate and the course applied for ( M. Pharm ) should be mentioned on the reverse of the Demand Draft. SC / SCA and ST candidates who are Natives of Tamil Nadu are exempted from payment of the cost of the Application Form.

  • The Application Number will be assigned to each candidate at the time of online submission.
  • Candidates should send the application with all enclosures in an A 4 size cloth lined cover. The template with requisite details available for download should be printed and pasted on the cover.
  • Candidate can track their application by logging in with their Application No and Password.
  • Eligible candidates only can download their Hall Tickets from the websites www.tnhealth.org / www.tn.gov.in by logging with their Application Number with Password and attend the Entrance Examination.

TN DME MPharm Admission Procedure 2016

Tamil Nadu Government Medical College MPharm 2016 Selection Method & Admission

Seats will be distributed equally among service and open quota in the order of merit.

1. The Selection will be made by counseling based on Merit and by applying the Rule of Reservation / Roster method followed by the Government of Tamil Nadu wherever applicable.

  • The rule of reservation shall be as follows :
    • Open Competition – 31%
    • Backward Class – 30%
    • Most Backward / Denotified – 20%
    • Scheduled Caste – 18%
    • Scheduled Tribe – 1%
  • Within the 30% reservation for Backward Classes 3.5% reservation will be provided for Muslims and 16% of seats out of 18% Quota earmarked to Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyar Community.
  • 50% of seats in each branch and in each college are reserved for service candidates, in addition to those service candidates selected in the open category. In case an odd number seat remains in any branch in the total seats sanctioned for that branch, that seat shall be filled by merit and communal reservation. The odd seat stated above is referable to each branch and not to each college.
  • For the newly sanctioned seats in Government Colleges after the I Phase of counseling, reallotment of courses / colleges will be permitted as per merit and communal reservation from rank one. Joined and Waitlisted candidates only can attend the counseling for the allotment of the above seats.
  • If there are no eligible Service candidates opting for M.Pharm Degree course, the same will be allotted to eligible Open Category candidates.

  • Any remaining unfilled seats for want of adequate number of eligible candidates belonging to SCA community shall be filled by candidates belonging to SC community other than Arunthathiyar as per merit and vice versa. ( GO (Ms) 55 P & AR Department dated 08.04.2010. )
  • Any remaining reserved seats in ST Quota for want of adequate number of eligible candidates belonging to ST community shall be allotted to candidates belonging to SC Community as per merit. ( GO (Ms) No 77 Health & Family Welfare Department ( MCA 1 ) dated 24.02.2011. )
  • Any remaining unfilled seats in BCM Community for want of adequate number of eligible candidates after exhausting the merit list shall be filled up on merit basis by candidates belonging to BC community without exceeding the quota for BC community as a whole. ( GO ( Ms ) No 30 Health & Family Welfare Department ( MCA 1 ) dated 18.01.2012. )
  • Even after filling up of the required seats reserved for Arunthathiyars on preferential basis, if more number of qualified Arunthathiyars are available, such excess number of candidates of Arunthathiyars shall be entitled to compete with the Scheduled Castes other than Arunthathiyars in the inter-se merit among them ( G.O.Ms.No.65, dated 27.5.2009 of P&AR(K) Department )

  • Selection and admission of students to the seats earmarked as Government quota in Self Financing and Government Aided Institutions will be subject to the Central and State Act and Rules proposed by the respective Government coming into force before counseling. The seat matrix for these institutions will be displayed during counseling.
  • Service candidates taking allotment in Self – financing colleges will not be paid salary and they have to avail leave for which they are eligible to the period of study on their own after obtaining prior permission from their Head of Directorate concerned.
  • Stipend / Fee structure / Bond amount / any other conditions will be as per the Institution admitted into.

TN DME MPharm Counselling 2016

Tamil Nadu Government Medical College MPharm 2016 Counselling Procedure

1. Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges MPharm 2016 Counselling Details :

  • Allotment of seats will be done by counselling based on merit following the rule of reservation / roster system in force in the State of Tamil Nadu and as per all other terms and conditions contained in the Government Order issued and to be issued from time to time with regard to rule of reservation.
  • Candidates will be called for counselling according to their rank in batches.
  • Option once given during the counselling cannot be changed later. Request for change of speciality / college from one to another is not permitted after an option has been exercised at the time of counselling.
  • Request for transfer from one college to another will not be allowed strictly after the cut off date. Re – allotment will be permitted only during 2nd phase of TN DME MPharm 2016 Counselling.
  • Individual request for transfer of college will not be entertained during or after counseling.
  • Mutual transfers will not be permitted under any circumstances.

2. Candidates selected for admission should give a declaration in the form given at the time of counselling that he / she is liable for forfeiture of selection / admission if suppression of facts are found at any time during or after admission to the course. The selection / admission shall be liable for cancellation based on declaration at any time during or after the admission to the course. Further he / she will not be allowed to apply for the Post Graduate M Pharm Degree Course for Two Years.

3. TN DME MPharm 2016 Counselling Process :

  • Due to unforeseen reasons, if a candidate cannot attend the counselling on the specified date and time, he / she can authorize a representative to attend the counselling on his / her behalf. The authorized representative should produce an undertaking and authority letter for allotment along with requisite original documents. The allotment made to the authorized representative shall be binding on the candidate.
  • Candidates who are absent at the scheduled time and date of counselling without a valid reason for absence will not be considered for admission. However the Selection Committee reserves the right to permit the candidate to attend the counselling if a valid reason for absence is communicated to the Selection Committee. The candidate so permitted can only claim the speciality and college available at the time of counselling when he / she actually attends during that phase only.
  • If the candidate is absent during the first phase of counselling, he / she cannot attend the second phase of counselling.

4. Strict discipline should be maintained by the candidates for smooth conduct of counselling. If the candidates are found to indulge in any untoward activities, they will be debarred from the counselling and selection for the present and subsequent sessions.

5. The marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination shall be considered for the purpose of preparing the merit list.

6. The candidates appearing for allotment by personal appearance should bring the documents enclosed along with application in original. Candidates without original certificates / documents, shall not be allowed to participate in the counselling. Candidates who have submitted their original documents to Institutions / Universities and appear for counselling with a certificate stating that “their original certificates are submitted with institution / University” will NOT be allowed to participate in counselling in any case.

7. Any change or modification and relevant information pertaining to this admission process will be made available immediately on the websites. ( www.tnhealth.org / www.tn.gov.in ) The candidates are instructed to visit the websites from the date of application till the end of counselling without fail. All information including the date of counselling will be put up in the website www.tnhealth.org. Call letters can only be downloaded from the websites. Candidates will be permitted for counselling accordingly.

8. All candidates attending the counselling for MPharm Degree Course will have to remit a non – refundable amount of Rupee 500/- by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the “Secretary, Selection Committee” as processing fee. The candidates who are selected at the time of counselling shall pay the tuition fee in total as prescribed in Clause 53 for Government Colleges by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the “Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10″ payable at Chennai at the time of receipt of the allotment orders towards tuition fee. After the receipt of the joining report from the Deans of the respective colleges, this amount will be transferred to the Colleges concerned. The fee is not refundable if the candidate does not join or discontinues the course.

Candidates selected in the seats offered by the Self Financing Institutions will have to remit a non – refundable sum of Rupee 5000/- by means of a Demand draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai”, at the time of counselling for allotment of seats. This will be adjusted towards the tuition fee that has to be paid to the colleges and the balance amount, towards tuition fee has to be paid in the respective colleges at the time of joining the course. The fee is not refundable if the candidate does not join or discontinues the course.

Eligibility Criteria for TN DME 2016 PG Degree / Diploma / 6 Year M.Ch ( Neuro Surgery ) Courses.

  • Candidates should be citizen of India and should have undergone MBBS courses in the State of Tamil Nadu. ( Candidates who complete CRRI in other States are not eligible ).
  • Candidates of Tamil Nadu Nativity who have completed MBBS in other states should furnish a Certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority only in the specified format and supported by a copy of Passport / Ration Card / Voter’s ID / Driving License / Permanent Medical Registration Certificate. If the copy of the supporting document is not produced, then the TN DME Application Form will be rejected. Nativity Certificate submitted later will be summarily rejected.
  • Candidates whose mother tongue is not Tamil will have to produce Nativity Certificate.
  • Candidates who have passed their MBBS Examination and completed / completing the CRRI period on or before 31st March, 2016 are eligible to write the Tamil Nadu Government Medical College PG Entrance Exam 2016. However the candidates should possess the permanent Medical Council Registration Certificates of the States or of India at the time of counselling for allotment of seats.
  • The candidates who are undergoing CRRI should submit a self declaration that their CRRI will be completed on or before 31st March, 2016. TN DME 2016 PG Applications without above said self declaration will be summarily rejected.
  • Candidates should possess MBBS Degree of Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University or of any other University recognized as equivalent to Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University and recognized by the Medical Council of India. 1. Out of the seats sanctioned for Post Graduate Diploma / Degree Courses 50% of the total recognized / permitted seats are offered to All India Quota for allotment by the Director General of Health Services, New Delhi. The remaining 50% of the seats will be allotted under State Quota during the I phase of Tamil Nadu Government Medical College 2016 PG Counselling.

2. For the newly sanctioned seats in Government Colleges after the I Phase of counselling, reallotment of courses / colleges will be permitted as per merit and communal reservation from rank one. Joined and Wait listed candidates only can attend the counselling for the allotment of the above seats.

3. During the 2nd / 3rd phase of Tamil Nadu Government Medical College 2016 PG Counselling reallotment only for Colleges of the already allotted candidates and not for change of speciality and allotment to the speciality waitlisted candidates will be done simultaneously for the available vacancies arising due to State Quota discontinued and not joined candidates allotted during the first phase / second phase of counseling and All India Quota surrendered seats as per merit and communal reservations.

4. Allotment will be made only for the seats affiliated by the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University for the Academic Year 2016 – 2017 session. Seats approved by the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University for PG Diploma / Degree / 6 Year MCh ( Neuro – Surgery ) courses for 2016 – 2017 session will be displayed at the time of Counselling.

Tamil Nadu Government Dental College MDS 2016 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should be citizens of India and should have undergone BDS courses in the State of Tamil Nadu. ( Candidates who complete CRRI in other State are not eligible ).
  • Candidates of Tamil Nadu Nativity who have completed BDS in other states should furnish a Certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority only in the specified format and supported by a copy of Passport / Ration Card / Voter’s ID / Driving License / Permanent Dental Registration Certificate. If the copy of the supporting document is not produced, then the application form will be rejected. Nativity Certificate submitted later will be summarily rejected.
  • Candidates who have passed their BDS Examinations and completed / completing the CRRI period on or before 31st March, 2016 are eligible to write the Tamil Nadu Government MDS Entrance Exam. However the candidates should possess the permanent Dental Council Registration Certificates of the States or of India at the time of counselling for allotment of seats.
  • The candidates who are undergoing CRRI should submit a self declaration that their CRRI will be completed on or before 31st March, 2016. Applications without above said self declaration will be summarily rejected.
  • Candidates should possess BDS Degree of Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University or of any other University recognized as equivalent to Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University and recognized by the Dental Council of India. Candidates who have qualified from other Universities should produce Eligibility Certificate at the time of TN DME 2016 MDS Counselling failing which they will not be considered for selection, from the following address :Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University,

  • Candidates who join a MDS course in any branch and discontinue the course on any grounds after the cut off date fixed by the Dental Council of India and the candidates who take an allotment for MDS course in any branch after May, 2016 and not join the course on or before the cut off date are not eligible to apply for 2 subsequent sessions from the date of appearance for the Tamil Nadu Government Dental College 2016 MDS Entrance Exam.
  • Candidates who are undergoing a MDS course are not eligible to apply for MDS Course.
  • Candidates who have completed a Post graduate Degree / Equivalent or candidates who possess a Post Graduate Degree / Equivalent are not eligible to apply for Tamil Nadu Government Dental College MDS 2016 Admission.

Tamil Nadu Government Dental College MDS 2016 Exam Scheme

  • Candidates seeking admission should write the Tamil Nadu Government Dental College MDS 2016 Entrance Exam conducted by the Selection Committee in the academic year only.
  • TN DME 2016 MDS Entrance Examination will be of the undergraduate level covering all subjects and will contain 250 objective type questions each with four responses ( A B C D ) in English. Number of questions in each subject.
  • Each question will carry 1 ( one ) Mark. There will be No Negative Mark for incorrect responses. Zero mark will be given for questions not answered. When more than one answer is indicated or when it is illegible, no mark will be awarded for that question. The Maximum marks will be computed to 90.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to take back the Question Booklet and a request for provision of Photocopies of the question booklet, answer sheet or answer key will not be entertained.

Tamil Nadu Government Dental College 2016 MDS Application Form

1. Tamil Nadu Government College 2016 MDS Applications can only be downloaded from the TN DME websites : www.tnhealth.org and www.tn.gov.in and the filled application along with necessary enclosures and 3 self addressed envelopes 23 X 10 cms which should reach on or before 20th January, 2016 by 5.00 PM sent to the following address :

2. Tamil Nadu Government Dental College 2016 MDS Application Forms should reach before the last date along with a Demand Draft for Rupee 3000/- which is non refundable towards the cost of application form drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee” payable at Chennai.

3. TN DME 2016 MDS Applications without the Demand Draft will not be accepted. The name of the candidate and the name of the course ( MDS ) should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft. SC / SCA and ST candidates who are natives of Tamil Nadu are exempted from payment of the cost of the TN DME MDS Application Form.

4. The candidates shall ensure that the completed Tamil Nadu Government Dental College 2016 MDS Application Form with all particulars and enclosures reaches the Selection Committee within the date and time specified. Tamil Nadu Government Dental College 2016 Applications received by Speed Post / Courier or any other means, after the last date & time will not be accepted.

Tamil Nadu Government Dental College MDS 2016 Admission Procedure

1. Tamil Nadu Government Dental College MDS Selection will be made by counselling based on Merit and by applying the Rule of Reservation / Roster method followed by the Government of Tamil Nadu wherever applicable.

2. 50% of seats in each speciality and in each college are reserved for service candidates, in addition to those service candidates selected in the open category. In case an odd number seat remains in any speciality in the total seats sanctioned for that speciality, that seat shall be filled by merit and communal reservation.

3. Out of the seats sanctioned for MDS Course, 50% of the total recognized / permitted seats are offered to All India Quota for allotment by the Director General of Health Services, New Delhi. The remaining 50 % of the seats will be allotted under State Quota during the I phase of Tamil Nadu Government Dental College 2016 MDS Counselling.

4. For the newly sanctioned seats in Government Colleges / Self Financing Institutions after the I Phase of counselling, re allotment of courses / colleges will be permitted as per merit and communal reservation from rank one. Joined and Wait listed candidates only can attend the counselling for the allotment of the above seats.

5. During the 2nd / 3rd phase of counseling all joined and waitlisted candidates can attend the counseling for the available vacancies arising due to state quota discontinued and not joined candidates allotted during the first phase of counseling and All India Quota surrendered seats after the II Phase of counseling by the DGHS as per merit and communal reservations.

6. Tamil Nadu Government Dental College 2016 MDS Allotment will be made only for the seats affiliated by the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University for the Academic Year 2016 – 2017 session. Seats approved by the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University for MDS course for 2016 – 2017 session will be displayed at the time of Counselling.

7. Some MDS Seats may be approved but not recognized by DCI. Therefore the candidate should well examine these points before opting for a seat. The selection committee shall neither be responsible nor shall entertain any case on above grounds.

  • 3% of the total number of seats available in Government Dental Institutions are reserved for the Physically disabled candidates ( only for locomotory disabilities of lower limbs ).
  • In the first instance, candidates with disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% shall be considered and in case candidates are not available in that category then the candidates with 40% to 50% locomotory disabilities of the lower limbs will be considered.
  • The other conditions for Tamil Nadu Government Dental College 2016 MDS Admission will be applicable as in the case of the general category.

Tamil Nadu Government Medical College PG 2016 Counselling

  • Tamil Nadu Government Medical College 2016 Admission to PG Degree / Diploma / 6 Year MCh ( Neurosurgery ) courses, shall be made by counselling on the basis of merit applying the rule of reservation wherever applicable.
  • Candidates will be called for TN DME 2016 PG Counselling in batches according to their ranks in batches.
  • Candidates can choose any one of the branches or colleges available at the time of Tamil Nadu Government Medical College 2016 PG Counselling.
  • If they do not attend the I phase of counseling they will not be eligible to attend subsequent phases of counseling.
  • If a candidate wants to be wait listed, he / she can opt to remain in the waiting list for any one particular discipline only.
  • Candidates can remain on the “Wait List” only for course and not for college.
  • Option once given during the counseling cannot be changed later.
  • Re – allotment from one college to another college and from one course to another course is permitted during counseling only, based on merit and rule of reservation.
  • Individual request for transfer of college will not be entertained during or after counseling.
  • Mutual transfers will not be permitted under any circumstances.
  • Candidates selected for admission should give a declaration in the form given at the time of Counseling that he / she is liable for forfeiture of selection / admission if suppression of facts are found at any time during or after the admission to the course. The selection / admission shall be liable for cancellation based on the declaration at any time during or after the admission to the course. Further he / she will not be allowed to apply for the Post Graduate Courses for the next Two Years.
  • Any change or modification and relevant information pertaining to this admission process will be made available immediately on the website. ( www.tnhealth.org / www.tn.gov.in. ) The candidates are instructed to visit the websites from the date of application till the end of counseling without fail.
  • All candidates attending the counseling for PG Degree / Diploma / 6 year MCh ( Neurosurgery ) Course will have to remit a non – refundable amount of Rupee 500/- by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee” as processing fee. The candidates who are selected at the time of counseling shall pay the tuition fee by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10″ payable at Chennai at the time of receipt of the allotment orders towards tuition fee.
