APSCHE to introduce Common Counselling for all Medical, Veterinary and Agriculture Courses
The State government is contemplating to introduce common counselling for all the medical, veterinary and agriculture courses, on the lines of engineering counselling, from this year.
A meeting held at the APSCHE on Wednesday discussed the issue and there was a common agreement that such counselling would be in the interest of students and cut down costs and leg work for the students.
However, the meeting decided to take up the issue with the secretaries concerned and the universities involved before arriving at a final decision.
As of now, counselling for medical and agriculture courses are held separately and different Principal Secretaries head these departments.
If the idea doesn’t materialise counselling for medical courses would be completed by July since classes for medical courses have to begin in July as per the Medical Council of India (MCI) guidelines.
