Attention: Students Seeking Admission To Technical Education Programmes
1. Scheme of Tuition Fee Waiver for women, economically backward and physically handicapped, meritorious students: The Council has announced a scheme vide notification No.37-3/Legal/2007 dated
April 2007 under section (10(e) of the AICTE Act on merit to provide tuition fee waiver up to 10% of students sanctioned in a discipline in the ratio of 2:3:1 for women, economically backward and physically handicapped students respectively in all AICTE approved technical institutions offering bachelor degree programmes in Engineering, Pharmacy, Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Architecture, Applied Arts and Crafts and Diploma level programmes of 3 year duration in all disciplines. The institutions desirous of offering such tuition fee waivers will be allowed additional seats up to 10% of the sanctioned intake on the number of tuition fee waivers whichever is less as additional intake in the same discipline / branch of study.
The students and the institutions willing to avail the scheme may approach concerned State Govt./ Admission Authority / University for further details. The Scheme is available in AICTE website at

2. Admission of B.Sc. graduates to degree engineering programmes through lateral entry: The Council has notified Regulations vide Notification No.37-3/ Legal/2007 dated
12 January 2007 permitting the B.Sc. students into second year degree programme in Engineering and Technology through lateral entry. The details of the scheme are available in the AICTE website
