According to Vice-Chancellor Prof. R. Radhakrishnan, the students would be wasting around four months in the semester pattern. I.e. Their annual holidays for two years.
“They can learn more through trimester system since they do not waste time. They get more exposure and will be better qualified. Moreover, they could spend more time in conferences, group discussions and industrial visits,” he noted.
He further said the core curriculum will be the ability to communicate, analyze situations and take decisions using qualitative and quantitative factors, develop and holistic view and the business environment.
To note, all these MBA programme will be conducted at select colleges affiliated to the university and will be shifted to the varsity’s own premises in the second year.
Other colleges affiliated to the university would also follow trimester system soon the VC said.
