Applications for Lateral Entry to B.E., B.Tech Courses

Chennai: The application forms for admission to the second year admission to the second year B.E. / B.Tech degree courses in the Government, aided and self-financing engineering colleges under the purview of the Directorate of Technical Education for the academic year 2007 - 08 will be issued from June 5 to 18 in the selected engineering / polytechnic colleges, said a press release.

The Department of Technical Education had informed that as per the AICTE’s regulations, both diploma holders and B.Sc Degree holders (with Mathematics as a subject of study at degree level) are eligible for admission to the second year B.E. / B.Tech degree courses from 2007 - 08.

The applications will be issued during working from 10 am to 5 pm. The cost of application from Rs.100, while it is free of cost for SC / ST candidates on production of attested copy of community certificate, the release added.
