Applications for the supplementary examination would be sent to colleges. Candidates have to apply through their respective colleges by August 10. The examination fee would be three times that of the original fee.
Since this was the first attempt, the examination would be held in August. From next year, the supplementary examination would be made a regular feature and held within a month’s time from the date of announcement of results, the Vice-Chancellor said.
“The future of candidates should not get spoilt because of failure in one subject. They should be able to move on. If a second chance will help them, they should be given one. Very soon, improvement examinations will also be introduced,” he added.
Also, for the first time, undergraduates would be given a chance to see their answer paper on payment of Rs. 260.
