‘Bosch Corner’ at Coimbatore Institute of Technology
Coimbatore: a ‘Bosch Corner will be set up at Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) as part of Memorandum of Understanding that was signed between the institute and Robert Bosch India Limited, here on Friday.
S.R.K. Prasad, Director of CIT and K.Swaminathan, Deputy General Manager of Robert Bosch India Limited, Coimbatore, signed the MoU that would establish a joint working group for co-ordination between the parties concerned.
The ‘Bosch Corner’ would be utilized by the company to display its books, magazines, posters and related materials on its latest cutting edge technologies. The company would in technical event and symposia and that would be held at CIT.
“Robert Bosch India Limited will explore the possibility of increased student and facility interface by giving live projects. The company and students will develop new technologies jointly. It will be mutually benefit to both participates. Students will get opportunities to solve real ‘live’ problems. The MoU is a step towards making CIT and innovative college,” said Mr. Prasad, “The MoU will help us pursue research development with CIT in the areas of embedded systems in electronics and automotive engineering, and also in mechanical engineering. We now have 300 employees. We are planning to expand our facility to 2500 by 2010,” said Mr. Swaminathan.
