Coimbatore Business School inks pact with U.S. University
Exchange of first set of students likely during July next year
Coimbatore: The Park Global School of Business Excellence (PGSBE) here signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL), United States.
Autonomous Institute:
According to a release from S. Ganesan, Director and Dean of the Business School, this institution, established simultaneously in Chennai and Coimbatore, is an autonomous institute offering a two-year post-graduate Diploma in Business Management.
The MoU is in furtherance of its vision of creating and delivering a dynamic-global contemporary curriculum and development of the best academic delivery system. Dr. Ganesan and Keith womer, Dean of college of Business Administration at the UMSL signed the MoU on Tuesday.
This paves way for exchange of students between the U.S. varsity and the Park Business School. And the first set of students from both the institutions is expected to be exchanged during July next year.
Agreement:
A significant feature of the agreement is that the students deputed by the PGSBE will have to pay fees at the rate charged to US citizens while most of US universities charge the foreign students heavily. The deputed students will undergo 18 courses, three skill development programmes and an industry internship.
On successful completion of the programme, the PSGBE students deputed to UMSL would be conferred with UMSL’s AACSB accredited MBA degree.
The students deputed to Park School by the UMSL will pursue the same curriculum pursued by Indian students. And they will be awarded Park Global’s Advanced Diploma in Business Administration.
