Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) inks MoU with IBM

Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) inked a memorandum of understanding with IBM for collaborating in areas of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Information Management, Cloud Computing and Green IT.

One of the main objectives of the MoU was to establish a Centre of Excellence for High Performance and Cloud Computing.

The inauguration of the centre was held recently. It was inaugurated by Alok N. Khare, Senior Manager, University Relations, IBM, India.

It will provide access to faculty and students of CIT to pursue work in the next Gen areas. Other objectives of the MoU include collaboration in research areas of common interest, hosting technology development projects, developing curriculum and courseware and introducing new post-graduate programs.
