DesignACE Contest for Engineering Students
Barry Wehmiller International Resources, Chennai, in association with Autodesk will organise the DesignACE contest for engineering students.
Said to be South India’s largest engineering design contest, it will cover 500 colleges and 20,000 students from the states of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.
The contest is expected to inspire students to solve real world design challenges using Autodesk 3D digital tools.
Entries received will be judged based on parameters of depth and clarity of thinking, innovation, and design capabilities.
Students, who have completed second year, can participate in the contest by submitting any innovative design with a short write – up for the short – listing procedure on or before 16th August, 2010.
As many as 50 teams will be shortlisted for the second round. They will be announced on 21st August, 2010. The final 10 teams will compete for the title at the grand finale to be held in Chennai on 19th September, 2010.
As part of the event, free Autodesk inventor workshops for students will be conducted in nodal cities.
