Kovai Medical Center and Educational Trust, Coimbatore established Dr.N.G.P. Arts and Science College in the year 1997.

It is a non-profitable voluntary organization with Dr.Nalla Palaniswami as the Chairman and Dr.Thavamani D.Palaniswami as the Managing Trustee. The goal of the Trust is to render quality and character building education, training and research facilities to the youth of India and abroad.

Over the Trust has developed into the strong force to face the growing demands in the field of education. It envisages to augment the human resources through interdisciplinary, problem oriented and student centered training, extension and consultancy programme.

During the academic year 2007-2008, Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College is offering diploma in Hospital Records and P.G. Diploma in Imaging Technology which is highly unique and it is offered only at this college under the affiliated colleges of Bharathiar University.

To meet the growing demands the college is also providing B.Sc Information Technology Degree Programme, PG Diploma in Advanced Medical Imaging Technology, B.Sc. (IT) and B.Sc. Clinical Laboratory Technology.

Dr.N.G.P. Arts and Science College is one of the pioneers in providing free concessions for the outstanding academics and sports students.

The institution also honours the students for their academic excellence with gold medals in all the disciplines. The Institution imparts competent academic counseling and placement services to the students. Severao students have been placed in reputed concerns like IBM, WIPRO, HCL, TCS and many leading pharmaceutical companies and Hospitals.
