Engineering MBBS Merit Lists put on hold

Chennai: Thousands of students aspiring to join professional colleges in Tamil Nadu are in a state of confusion as the announcement of the merit lists for medical and engineering admissions in the state has hit a roadblock.

The MBBS merit list was not released by the Directorate of Medical Education today as tentatively scheduled since the Plus Two re-evaluated marks were put up only today. In a separate development, the Madras High Court directed the Government and college managements to maintain status quo in the matter of engineering admissions till June 29 which meant that the Anna University will not release the merit list on June 25
