Production units
They could get jobs in PCR (Polymerised Chain Reaction) labs, effluent treatment plants, bio-fertilizer and bio-pesticide production units and pharmaceutical companies. Students could also start small scale units for manufacturing bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides, he said.
The university also recognised the foundation as a research centre for students to pursue PhD in biotechnology, he said. The foundation would also offer one-year
Diploma Courses in Genome Technology and Immuno Technology. Besides, it would also offer certificate courses.
Students would be given the opportunity to undergo training at various industrial units, Mr. Saravanan said.
