The Balasubramanian committee has recommended Rs.62,500 as the annual fee students admitted under management quota seats to self-financing engineering colleges in the State.

A release issued here on Thursday stated that there was no change in fee for any other category of students. Self-financing engineering colleges have agreed to abide by last year’s admission procedure – 65 per cent of the seats will be filled from the government single window quota and the remaining by managements

In the case of minority institutions, this formula will be 50: 50 – the government and the college management will fill equal number of seats.

The fee for non-accredited courses in the colleges will remain at Rs.32,500 per annum. For accredited courses, it will be Rs.40,000 each year.
