For the attention of Horanadu Kannadiga Candidates
As per the CET 2006 amendment rules, Rule 2(m) was as amended “Father of the Candidates should been born in Karnataka and mother tongue of both father and candidates should be Kannada. Tulu or Kodava. The candidates should have passed the qualifying examination from an University of Board or any other institution located outside Karnataka and should be residing outside the State of Karnataka as on
1st July 2007”.
Where as again the Government amended the Rule 2(m) of the CET – 2006 rules as “In the case of the candidates whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava and who are residing outside the State of Karnataka as on
1st July of 2007, such candidates should have passed qualifying examination from an University or Board or any other institution located outside Karnataka”
In view of the above amendment the Horanadu Kannadiga candidates who want to appear for Common Entrance Test – 2007 are hereby informed to send a Demand Draft for Rs.650/- drawn in favour of “The Special Officer, CET Cell, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore, on or before 03.03.2007 and submit the filled application on or before 10.03.2007 and such candidates shall undergo a Kannada language test, which will be conducted by the CET Cell on
10.06.2007 at 11.00 am to establish his ability to speak, read and write Kannada.
