The charges against the senior IAS officer had been framed, he said, and further inquiry under the CCA Rules was continuing.
He said that the Kolar District Social Welfare Officer, Pandurangappa, had been found to have misappropriated Rs. 1.5 crore of government funds; till now Rs. 1.2 crore had been recovered from him.
The remaining amount would also be recovered, the Minister added. Mr. Sudhakar said that he would study whether the reservation given to Muslims by the State government under two categories (Karnataka Backward Classes Commission list) - one under the castes and another under Muslims - was unconstitutional.
He said the A.J. Sadashiva Commission was looking into the issue of internal reservation to the left and right wings among the Scheduled Castes.
