Karunya University introduces LMS
According to a university release, the LMS gives an opportunity for students to be more actively involved in the teaching – learning process in and outside the classrooms.
Since the programs in the university are fully residential, every student has a laptop and with Wi – Fi connection, the interaction between teacher and student is not restricted to the classroom.
Teachers can schedule online tests even after study hours. As many as 113 faculty members of the university were given hands – on training by professionals. It is being planned to implement the LMS in all the departments of the university.
The introduction of the LMS was due to the initiative of S. Mohan, Head, Department of Information Technology, and his team.
