Lovely Professional University is the largest university with 24000 students on campus. LPU’s twinning program provides an opportunity to the students to study abroad while paying the fees for education in India. Last date for application is 15th July 2009
The ongoing economic downturn that struck the world economy last year, is proving to be big blow to Indian students' foreign education dreams. Thousands of students, who were aspiring to go abroad for higher studies, are deferring their plans due to global recession, tapering financial assistance and a bleak job market.
Twinning Programs Offered
In this background, LPU has come with its series of twinning programs in Enginerring, Business Administration and Hotel Management that enables such students to get an international degree at 50% of the conventional cost incurred while studying abroad. This results not only in cost advantage for the student, but also provides him professional and academic grooming of international standards at economical expenses.
Through the articulation programs, in coordination with more than 15 foreign universities LPU is offering these Twinning programmes; wherein the student completes a part of a programme at LPU (generally first half of the programme), and the remaining with the foreign partner university. The degree accorded to the student, at the end of the program is by the foreign university.
The first half of the programme is in accordance with US pedagogy, which provides students with an opportunity to learn as per global standards and choose their field of specialization after joining LPU's partner university abroad.
For these programs, LPU has tied up with various world class universities in USA, Canada, UK and Australia, so that they can choose from a wide range of partner universities, on the basis of merit and are not compelled to bind themselves to any particular university or country at the time of admission.
Students can decide on to the future course of their study, while pursuing the part of the programme at LPU; thereby reaching a more precise decision with regard to the choice of the country and the University.

LPU is taking admissions to its B Tech (International), BBA (International), BHMCT (International) and MBA (International) programs, for which the eligibility condition has been fixed at 55% marks in penultimate class.
