New Delhi: The Centre has increased the number of seats in the
MBBS course from 75 to 100 at the Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (
JIPMER) from the academic year 2007-08.
This decision was conveyed to the Registrar, Pudu-cherry University, on Thursday by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry. The decision is subject to the condition that the institution will continue to provide all infrastructural facilities in terms of teaching and non-teaching staff, buildings, equipment and hospital facilities, etc..
The MBBS seats at Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) will be filled from the waitlisted candidates and the representation of the SCs and the STs Students with reference to increase from 75 to 100 MBBS seats will be 19 in the open or general category, 2 for the SC and 2 for the ST category students.
