Management Curriculum needs Restructuring
Kakatiya University Vice – Chancellor Prof. N. Linga Murthy favoured restructuring of management curriculum to suit the demands of the corporate world.
Addressing students at the 14th convocation of Institute of Technology & Management (ITM) here, he said the academic institutions should produce students who are more suitable to the industry, imparting necessary skills during their academic life.
“In a competitive age, students with excellent communication skills and practical knowledge are more sought after.
In that context, the institutions should focus on their syllabi and the skills they impart and the requirements of the corporate world,” he pointed out.
Dr.T. Dayakara Rao, director ITM, Warangal urged students to bring name to the institution by conducting themselves in a befitting manner in their careers.
Chief guest at the function, K. Panduranga Rao, Group Head (HR & Administration), IVRCL Infra & Projects Limited, Hyderabad explained the subtle nuances of the corporate life.
In all 84 students were presented with the Post – Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM).
Academic coordinator Prof. N. P. Prabhakar administered the oath to the students.
