Coimbatore: The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Coimbatore, Government of India, has set up a CNC turning centre at Coimbatore.

According to a press release issued here, the turning centre is to be used to impart training, simulation of job and interfacing with the machine.

Admission for CNC Lathe, CNC Milling and machine tools programming and operation is on. Classes will begin on September 13.

The training period will be four weeks for the CNC courses. Eligibility criteria for those who want to join the course is an ITI / diploma / degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Fee

The course fee will be Rs. 3,000. The machine tools course will be for six months and will cost Rs. 9,000.
