Nachimuthu Polytechnic College signed MoU with TVS Motor Company

Nachimuthu Polytechnic College, Pollachi, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with TVS Motor Company to jointly offer a three-year residential diploma Program in mechanical engineering (sandwich pattern). The MoU was signed by K.N. Radhakrishnan, Chief Executive Officer and president of TVS Motor Company, Hosur, and M. Manickam, Chairman of NIA Educational Institutions. The first batch of 20 students was selected on merit, aptitude and attitude. The company would bear the total expenses incurred by the students towards education and stay. According to a release from the college, the MoU is expected to develop diploma engineers with good understanding and application of engineering fundamentals. The MoU entails providing job oriented and tailor-made Program to suit the needs of the TVS Group of Companies. The subjects will be handled by both the college faculty and TVS engineers.

The program will follow the semester pattern.

Internship

At the end of every second semester, an eight-week duration of theory, practical and internship will be organized at the company.

Student evaluation will be jointly done by both the parties concerned.

On successful completion of the program the candidates will be absorbed by any one of the companies of the TVS Group.

It will be mandatory for the diploma holders to work with the company for a minimum required period.
