No Approval to ICFAI Study Centres: University Grants Commission

Chennai:The University Grants Commission has started in its counter-affidavit filled in the High Court that it had not given any approval to the ICFAI of open study centres and off-campus centres.

The counter was filed in response to a write petition from B N Devadas of K.K. Nagar West, Chennai, praying for a direction to the authorities concerned to close the business and study centres of ICFAI. In its counter-affidavit filled on Wednesday, the UGC, the first respondent in the case, stated that ICFAI, Dehradun, Uttaranchal0-, was established in 2003.
