SUITS Training Program to be conducted
The School University Industry Tie – Up Scheme (SUITS), a joint venture program of Hi – End Software Integrated, Coimbatore, and Bharathidasan University, has made a foray into the information technology teaching of schools.
According to a release, under the scheme, school students would be brought under the university fold.
The university, in association with three private information technology companies, would offer certificate courses in computer basics for students from standards V to IX.
As an initiation, a teacher – training program was held for school teachers at the Maharaja Arts and Science College recently.
S. Kathiravan, Executive Director of the Hi – End Software Integrated, and program trainers from the university trained the teachers in the theory and practical aspects of the SUITS program.
The official program of SUITS would be on form 19th July, 2010 to 15th March, 2011.
Examination for the SUITS students would be held in March and convocation would be held in April.
A certificate of participation was given to all the teachers. Also, books authored by various persons, were released during the valediction of the teacher – training program.
