Sri Ramachandra University introducing PhD Programs

This September Sri Ramachandra University will introduce two Ph.D. programs — split Ph.D. and integrated Ph.D. programme.

The split Ph.D. programme will provide candidates a chance to conduct a part of their research work in a recognised foreign or Indian university/institution with which SRU has signed an academic memorandum of understanding.

A researcher can conduct research for one year with the partnering institution. Even in cases where candidates opt to stay for more than a year, only one year shall be reckoned with for purposes of record.

The integrated Ph.D. programme includes three years of MD or MS and two years of Ph.D. The first three years will provide the students with the MD/MS/MDS courses.

In the sandwich Ph.D. programme the candidate will have to write a paper on research methodology at the end of the second year of the PG course.

Examination for the second and third parts of the paper will be held at the end of the fourth year of the Ph.D. programme.

Students will indicate the broad field of research during the third year of the PG course, when they write their dissertation.

Ph.D. thesis can be submitted only on completion of five years of the integrated Ph.D. programme.

The programme is extended to Pharmacy, Nursing and Science postgraduates.
