TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) starts PG Residential Program in e-governance

TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) at Manipal is starting a one-year postgraduate residential programme in e-governance in August/September 2008 in collaboration with the National Institute of Smart Government (NISG), Hyderabad.

The aim is to help students acquire holistic understanding of designing e-Government projects, acquire skills in analysis, design, and implementation of e-Government application. Any graduate with working experience in Government, NGOs, PSUs or private sector can apply.

The intake is 40 students. The Director of the Institute D. Naga-brahmam said that about 2,000 jobs were likely to become available in State eGovernment Mission Team (SeMT), Project eGovernment Mission Team (PeMT) and the private sector.

The TAPMI will be starting a full-time, one year Post-Graduate Programme in Management for mid-career executives in July 2008 at its Bangalore campus.

The programme is for executives who have completed five to seven years experience in industry or own business.

The minimum qualification is graduation in any subject. The intake is 40 students. TAPMI will be starting two more courses in 2009. They are the Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and the Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Business Management.

Both will be two-year full-time residential courses. The PG Diploma in Human Resource Management will be started in collaboration with the National Human Resource Development Network, Hyderabad. Candidates will have to appear for an entrance test, group discussion and interview.
