"With the MBBS course in Tamil, a student who thinks in Tamil can execute his or her learning in the same language. This will help those who have completed their schooling in Tamil-medium institutions," he pointed out.
In Russia, France and China, medicine is being taught in local languages, in addition to English.
Already, the Tamil Virtual University had developed a CD and nine voluminous books on medicine.
"Once completed, the course should be an internationally recognised degree. It is a long process and we have just initiated it," Hussain noted.
With a medical dictionary in Tamil, anybody can write books, pointed out
