UGC panel pleased with JNTUA’s development
The 11th Finance Committee team of UGC has been very happy with the pace of development of the JNT University and has in turn promised to do it’s best for the development of university, according to JNTUA Vice – Chancellor Krishna Gandhi.
The Vice – Chancellor impressed upon the team to release Rs. 369 crore badly required for construction of new buildings, research work in OTRI and for improving facilities in Pulivendula college and release at least Rs. 144 crore for urgent concerns of the university. The state government has given salary budget for 52 permanent teaching staff though the university has 102 sanctioned posts. He said that minister N.Raghuveera Reddy has promised to represent the matter to the Chief Minister.
