Training Programme at ACRI
The Department of Soil and Environment at the Agricultural College and Research Institute (ACRI), Madurai is organising a five-day training program from 18th October, 2010 on ‘Soil, plant, water and manure analysis for suitable agro advisory services.’
Participants will be trained in simple analytical techniques for assessing the availability of nutrients of soil, quality of irrigation water, diagnosis of problem in soil and water and successful crop production.
According to a release, those who are interested in technological empowerment for sustainable income would benefit by attending the training program.
It would empower the trainees to start agro consulting services, soil testing laboratories and agricultural input dealership.
A fee of 1,500 is charged for the program. Certificates will be issued to the participants on successful completion. College students, diploma holders, personnel manning agri-clinics and soil test laboratories, private companies, agro-based industries and sugar factories would stand to benefit from the program.
